Just to supplement your point it is worth pointing out that ancient Rome had a matrilinneal line of property ownership and inheritence. So the idea that previous societies never accorded women any power or wealth is a bit wonky to begin with. As usual with these things the reality is nearly always a lot more complicated and grey than usually is admitted to.

Okay the idea that women can't be bloodthirsty and advocate fairly regularly for war is a little ignorant of history.
