It's definitely method, guns are the preferred method for men and this is pretty fool-proof whereas the OD is notoriously filled with time to think and room for errors. I think if guns took longer to work men would have that same time to think that women do after they take pills. It might be different.

Also the suicide stat is a bit disingenuous, men and women attempt suicide at about equal rate (actually women do it more often) it's just that men are much, much better at it than women.

I don't believe you. I believe that might be what they told you but they were probably keeping the religion part out of the story. Unless you are asexual there isn't a single reason other than religion to not have sex . And there are quite a few people that would keep their religion to themselves.

Wasn't the whole point of the post is to incite anger at the unfairness of it all? All of that doesn't really exist though does it? She was sentenced to 6yrs9mo. for manslaughter, I believe this is a usual sentence for that crime. (manslaughter sentence is 5-10yrs here in the US) Now, she probably should have gotten murder for this and that would seem to be where the real outrage should lie. 3 years 9 months with parole. This means at least 3yrs jail time but could be more depending on the parole board, it doesn't mean 3yrs jail then she is to be released. Your title is wrong and doesn't even attempt to convey the correct information. "3 years parole" This would mean she went to trial then was released with no jail time or only time served. Your attempt at being 'concise' has completely corrupted the facts in the article.

Your title is completely wrong. From the article which you didn't read: She sentenced Chen to a maximum of six years and nine months' imprisonment, with a non-parole period of three years and nine months. This means she will be in prison at least 3yrs 9months. ...she will be eligible for parole in November 2014. The words above do not mean released, it means you go before the parole board and they decide if you will be released. Just like Charles Manson goes before the board.

This is actually based on the Andrea Dworkin school of feminism, circa 1980ish. She was too out there for almost every woman I knew of.
