My point was that, if you're in a marriage together, you're a team, and what you earn, you earn together. What you lose you lose together. No?

Please note he said bitches, not bitch. And why is she a bitch simply for receiving child support? You don't know her.

That's a pretty depressing attitude you have towards marriage there.
/r/MensRights20/02/14 09:30 PM

So you don't think that the overall household income should factor in to how much someone gets in child support (man or woman)? The person in question should just get the absolute bare minimum? I feel like you just want to see this woman in the gutter for some reason. Also, using the phrase "magical vagina" makes it sound like you have some serious underlying hatred against women.

Do you know what misogyny is?

If you get married, aren't you a TEAM at that point? Don't you share your fortunes and losses together?

Just the kind of language I've come to expect from this sub.
/r/MensRights20/02/14 07:13 PM

Me too. Although I'm sure someone here will inevitably blame "the feminists" for perpetuating the idea that all rapists are men.
/r/MensRights20/02/14 05:31 AM

LOL on a cellular level. That is so vague. And how exactly is this "feminism's" fault? I'm a feminist and I am currently doing my PhD studying sex differences in the central nervous system.
/r/MensRights17/02/14 09:29 PM

Do you seriously believe that women aren't systematically oppressed in some ways? Do you really believe that men are disadvantaged to a greater degree? I don't dispute that there are several "men's issues" that we should care about.
/r/MensRights13/02/14 05:02 AM

My point is that I imagine most feminists do not support the draft so you can't use that example of "inequality" as a criticism of feminism.
/r/MensRights12/02/14 07:46 PM
-4

I seriously doubt many feminists support the draft at all, no? Why is this used as an example nowadays? You Americans haven't had a draft in half a century.

You guys really love to turn it into an "us vs. them" thing, don't you?
/r/MensRights12/02/14 01:34 PM

Pot meet kettle.
/r/MensRights10/02/14 02:46 PM

It is kind of confusing to me as to why anyone supports the draft for men OR women...

You're seriously blaming feminism for bad science??
/r/MensRights08/02/14 09:24 PM

So should I not date single dads either? Wtf is wrong with you people? Why do you even bother to keep claiming that you're not misogynists?
/r/MensRights07/02/14 03:18 AM

Hilarious.
/r/MensRights05/02/14 03:41 AM

Agreed, and I also think that this sounds like more of an "America should have universal healthcare" issue than anything else.
/r/MensRights01/02/14 04:12 AM
2

I think you mean "can't"
/r/MensRights31/01/14 04:25 AM
2

Again, not sure what that has to do with FEMINISTS as opposed to PEOPLE or WHITE PEOPLE in general.
/r/MensRights30/01/14 04:50 AM
2

So you are somehow claiming that feminists are both white and racist?
/r/MensRights30/01/14 04:40 AM
0

So you resent white women from benefitting from bullshit quotas? Huh? And what is this business of white women falsely accusing black men of rape? How is that in any way characteristic of the feminist movement? Historically feminism and the civil rights movement have had a lot of overlap. I seriously don't know where you're getting your information from.
/r/MensRights30/01/14 04:09 AM

What a bizarre response. Not sure what that has to do with feminism.

HUH? Wtf did feminists do to you?
/r/MensRights30/01/14 03:31 AM

Yeah, you're still not getting it. If you read my comment, I'm talking about a man and a woman in the SAME field of science with the SAME resume. Why is it so important to your cause to dispute the fact that there likely is wage discrimination against women? I'm actually curious.
/r/MensRights29/01/14 06:31 PM
-1

You just undermined your own argument by admitting that its possible for women to be discriminated against and for this still not to have a significant impact on efficiency, which was my point. So then which is it, are these companies who pay men more guaranteed to be weeded out or not?
/r/MensRights29/01/14 06:12 PM
-1

Perhaps you are assuming that the marketplace is a little more efficient than it is. If the natural selection process so to speak between businesses were as efficient as you claim it is, nepotism wouldn't happen either, but it does, and it's pervasive.
/r/MensRights29/01/14 06:00 PM
1

I don't support quotas either, and I think harsher sanctions against those who do discriminate would be a good idea. But I think subtle discrimination against women is common and widespread.
/r/MensRights29/01/14 05:23 PM
0

Excuse me, the question was whether there is ANY wage gap that you guys think can be attributed to discrimination against women alone, and if not, why. If I already knew the answer, I wouldn't have asked. Why are you so defensive?
/r/MensRights29/01/14 02:49 PM
1

Right, I was asking for an alternative figure and would have welcomed sources (for your 1-2 cents to the dollar figure, for example).
/r/MensRights29/01/14 02:31 PM
0

I think you misunderstood my question, and I am pretty confused as to why you would say there is no systemic discrimination against women in the marketplace. Of course it isn't some mass conspiracy, but I think the preponderance of the evidence goes against that view.
/r/MensRights29/01/14 01:40 PM
-2

That's hilarious logic.
/r/MensRights29/01/14 01:30 PM
1

Certainly, I don't feel that I need to accept the 77 cent figure as gospel in order to care about potential discrimination against women. In my own field of academia, there have been studies where experimenters sent out identical resumes for tenure track jobs in science, the only difference being the gender of the applicant, and men were favoured as applicants and offered (slightly) more money. You can acknowledge that that is a problem even if you disagree with the 77 cent estimate. It's disapp…
/r/MensRights29/01/14 01:18 PM
1

I was giving those two factors as an example of things you might want to statistically control for, it wasn't an exhaustive list, obviously. My question, rather, was asking if anyone here had any figures that they think might represent any wage differences that could be attributed to discrimination alone.
/r/MensRights29/01/14 01:07 PM
2

I never said it should. I was asking what your alternative figure was. I think it is very telling that an outsider asking honest questions about the perspectives of MRAs gets downvoted around here.
/r/MensRights29/01/14 12:57 PM
4

Interesting, 4% could still be quite a bit when you think about it. That could be 4k+ a year in academia.
/r/MensRights29/01/14 03:28 AM
-17

Even if you dispute the 77 cent figure, which is fair, do you guys really believe that there is NO wage gap at all, after accounting for things like occupation, hours worked, etc? Edit: Not sure why an honest question is getting downvoted?

What movement? The body acceptance movement?

Uhh how is education not "working on your core"?
/r/seduction31/12/13 06:05 AM

Honestly, I'm not condoning it but yes a lot of girls will reject you for it. Being good looking will help, as with most things.
/r/seduction30/12/13 10:56 PM

I'm a girl. I agree with all of this.
/r/seduction24/12/13 08:20 AM

Girl here - you're right, that part of the article is bullshit. However, I thought it did a good job of explaining qualities that are attractive or unattractive and WHY those qualities appeal to women. It was especially spot on with intelligence, charm, confidence, and poverty. Looks also count, since they have the same effect as charisma.

Seems like a bit of a circle jerk at times.

So as a PhD student in psychology who actually teaches an evolutionary psychology course, I can tell that you've never ACTUALLY read A Natural History of Rape (or any of the published literature on the subject). You sound like a real misogynist creep, and I suspect you are single and will remain so. Thanks for the exchange, rapey internet stranger.
/r/MensRights22/11/13 12:51 AM
-7

Jesus christ. You can't violate women's consent only because you say "it causes psychological damage" and not because rape is WRONG and the thought of raping a woman DISGUSTS you?? I seriously hope you're single.

deranged rabbit hole? you're an idiot

Girl here, this is too true
/r/seduction16/10/13 07:13 PM
1

Interesting, I legitimately thought that you guys believed that women presented these "tests" to men as a bitchy way of testing to see what his boundaries/limits are (i.e. how much shit he will take from her). This explanation sounds less woman-hatey.
/r/seduction04/10/13 02:10 AM
1

That's a reasonable interpretation. Although I'm actually a girl and I can't say I've ever consciously tested a guy's "manliness". The only thing I will say is that from my perspective it seems possible that she's been talking to you for a while because she likes the attention, but isn't actually attracted to you which is why she's insulting your height.
/r/seduction03/10/13 11:26 PM
2

Why is this a shit test? Maybe some girls are genuinely not attracted to short guys. Just like how some of you are only attracted to skinny girls.
/r/seduction03/10/13 10:23 PM
1

You didn't but that's clearly the original point I was making.
/r/seduction31/07/13 02:11 AM
1

Exactly. So get to it instead of complaining that women don't like you because THEY'RE too entitled.
/r/seduction31/07/13 02:08 AM
0

Then I agree with you. Of course personality can make up for lack of attractiveness. But you just can't expect someone to be interested in you unless you two are on an even playing field overall. Man or woman, you can't get something for nothing.
/r/seduction30/07/13 08:40 PM
1

Not sure what point you're trying to make here. The point I'm making is that these guys are hypocrites
/r/seduction30/07/13 07:22 PM
3

I agree on the nice guy point. I don't understand why anyone feels entitled to a partner who brings more to the table (looks, success, etc) than they do. It's ridiculous. But a lot of the men on this sub are likely unattractive yet expect attractive women to overlook their appearance. And then they whine about it when the girl isn't into them and say she's too entitled.
/r/seduction30/07/13 05:48 PM
2

Exactly.
/r/seduction30/07/13 05:44 PM
7

Yeah, really.
/r/seduction30/07/13 04:27 PM
5

Really? Women are too entitled? And the men on these threads don't think they're entitled to (hot!) women's bodies just for showing up?
/r/seduction30/07/13 04:26 PM

This subreddit is chock full of men saying they hate feminism/feminists!!!!!!

/r/MensRights03/05/13 03:28 AM

Yes, thank you.
/r/MensRights03/05/13 02:59 AM

Are you really comparing feminism to intelligent design??
/r/MensRights03/05/13 02:32 AM

It doesn't sound like you have very healthy attitudes towards women. Which women are claiming to be better than men, or separate? And you just said you see all women as the same!
/r/MensRights03/05/13 02:31 AM
0

Hate feminism? Do you hate women?
/r/MensRights03/05/13 01:37 AM
2

You don't know what patriarchy means then. Feminists acknowledge that women can be even more aggressive in enforcing gender norms than men.
/r/MensRights03/05/13 01:37 AM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
