Just go for it man. You never know if she would be better off with someone else or not. That sort of mentality is just self-doubt. Just make sure you keep her engaged in the relationship, no matter how many green flags there are, if you fuck up, she will ditch it.

On the opposite side of the coin, as a manager myself, it's important that you not be aloof and egotistical around those you manage. Managers who can't relate to their teams will not drive performance. No one will work hard for an asshole.
