Communist regimes did the same thing as well. They scapegoated and justified the mass murder of certain groups as they consolidated power. History doesn't repeat - it rhymes. We fear a repeating the horrors of history, but are oblivious to the historical patterns.

The proof is that they're experts and they said so. And unless you jump through the hoops to become a PhD in sociology, your questioning of such matters has carries no weight. Logic and reason mean nothing, credentials are everything . This is the reality of the times we live in.

Conservative values have largely disappeared in favour of our current experiment in nihilism and hedonism. At this point readopting such values that once served as guiding principles to create more fulfilling lives is no longer maintaining the status quo, it IS change. Conservatism is the new counterculture.

I saw it last night and thought it was great. After the movie I knew exactly why it got 33% on Rotten Tomatoes from liberal Hollywood. SPOILERS Laurence's character chose to love a man instead of chasing her dreams. Appalling isn't it?
