The idea of men being inherently violent is completely antithetical to most forms of feminism, which tend to posit than male violence is a result of socialisation. -11	Feminists are the reason why men and boys have no legal protection against rape: I disagree with the logic those people protesting equalisation of rape laws are using (surely men could already use that defense and just call it assault rather than rape?) but they aren’t the ones responsible for the disparity existing in the first place, and mainstream feminism doesn’t endorse that thinking. I don’t agree with the death penalty for anyone, and I don’t think anyone calling themselves a leftist or feminist should agree with it either. However I think comparing gang violence and violence against women is a bit apples and oranges. Gang violence, like the vast majority of crime, is almost exclusively driven by economic factors. 1	men are more oppressed than people acknowledge I’d say it’s more repression than oppression. The vast majority of the problems we face as men are caused by other men, and a society built by men. That’s not to downplay the severity of these issues, but finding the actual source of them is key to fixing them. 1	This is why there are no female rape offenders The definition of rape absolutely needs to be expanded and it’s a travesty that is has not been already. But even if it was, there’s not a chance in hell we’d see more male victims than women. -10	One thing I rarely see discussed when it comes to George Floyd/police brutality I don’t know if it’s strictly true that they treat men worse than women. It just manifests in different ways. Sexual violence from cops is probably way more common towards women than it is to men. But they’re probably less likely to be murdered. The rates of domestic violence compared by occupation tell an interesting story about cops to say the least….wouldn’t be surprised if this applied to female cops too. Social media I’m sure exacerbates it, but it’s not the root cause.
