How do you like them?? I was looking at these same ones but the size I ended up getting were too tight, so I returned them. I wasn't sure if the tightness was endemic to the cut or if I need to size up. Do you like them?

That's a lot of good questions. The FZ is interesting and I have a lot of thoughts on it, but I guess I shouldn't go into it here. My one sentence on the FZ would be: if you're putting a boyfriend amount of effort into a friendship and she's making it clear that she isn't interested in you as a boyfriend, stop putting boyfriend amount of effort into the friendship. I know a lot of couples that started off as friends and then are attracted to each other and just fall into a relationship. So the F…

but the message that's being delivered by OP is solid advice when dealing with not only women, but any relationship. If you're using people to attain certain goals, they can usually tell I feel like you've hit the nail on the head. Once upon a time some pua introduced dudes to the vending machine model of looking at women and men have been suffering because of it ever since. The vending machine model is basically "Women are machines! If you press the right buttons, what you want will come out!" …

Gotcha. Then sounds like your best option is to get a small group to go do something and invite her along. Unless she explicitly expresses a desire to hang out with you alone, I don't see an easy ethical way to make it happen. If you've said "let's hang out alone" and she's said "no because X," just take it as a no. It's unlikely to mean "Find some way to circumvent X for me." Because then she would have said "Well, X is a problem, but maybe if we do Y, we can get around it." See if you can make…

When she agreed to do the photoshoot with you, was that as part of a group?

The best way to bond with someone is to be vulnerable with them and then be supportive as they show some vulnerability in return. I tackle this in a variety of ways: 1) I get comfortable being vulnerable first. There are topics I won't be vulnerable about right away, and that's fine. I have some topics that I am comfortable being vulnerable about. If they're supportive in their response to my vulnerability, then I feel friendly towards them. I like them more, I trust them more. 2) And this goes …

Does your approach to women involves only calling someone a woman if you feel she has "earned it"?

No advice to give, but just wanted to give you some encouragement. It's going to go great :) You'll be relaxed, you'll enjoy yourself, she'll enjoy herself. Maybe you'll find you don't vibe as well as you thought, and that's okay! Maybe she'll find that she doesn't vibe with you as well as she thought, and that's okay! Given that you're in the early stages, everything is low pressure for you right now. Enjoy yourself! Don't worry! We believe in you!

This might be a dive in the deep end for you, but a couple of my friends have been in a similar situation and took an interesting approach that seemed to help them both a lot. The basic premise was "I need to stop being afraid of rejection." The idea is to say to yourself "Rejection is a natural part of life and isn't a reflection on me but a reflection of incompatibility between me and another person. It's not about me alone or her alone, but just that we're different in a way that doesn't resu…

You're a sophomore in highschool. So first of all: don't worry. You have many years ahead of you and you're at an age when everyone is super awkward and figuring themselves out. 1) It's good that you're getting rid of the gay joke habit. It's definitely no longer societally appropriate, on average. 2) Listen a lot. It sounds like you have some friends, just not as many as you'd like. Hang out with the friends you have: listen to what's funny and interesting and mimic that. You come across as ver…

Why not just ask her out for coffee or drinks or something and see where it goes from there?

I will say that at first your sun analogy sounded a little conceited. Going through the post, it became clear that you meant that some people fall into your orbit and some don't (basically: you're compatible with some types of people but usually not all). But I can see this commenter's initial confusion.

I think the main message is "Women are people with their own desires and interests and types. If subconsciously you approach dating as "I see this woman in front of me and I must make her attracted to me however possible": (1) she can tell and it'll turn her off/scare her and (2) you'll spend a lot of energy trying to attract women who you think are hot but aren't compatible with who you are as a person. Being comfortable with yourself and letting go of the expectation that you must "have" some …
