One thing I’ve noticed, however, is that the few women who remain visible into and well past their fifties are those with leadership positions or powerful jobs. Imagine that, people who actually matter, get noticed!

lets take a look at the op of that thread... Precisely as titled. Personally, I think their ultimate goal is to receive the same government benefits (or, failing that, to eliminate the ones that women receive). They probably seek enhanced reproductive rights (the male birth control shot, right to financially absolve oneself of a child prior to deadline for legal abortion), the right to end male circumcision, and higher likelihood of taking a child home in family court so that it's closer to 50/5…

/r/MensRights07/10/12 12:26 AM

Yeah. That's why people push for reproductive rights for males. Well, that and the whole 'you should not mutilate the genitals of unconsenting people'.
/r/MensRights07/10/12 12:23 AM
1

okay fuck this. lets get back to what we were /actually/ talking about. Which is, that, there are times when the woman tricks the man into having a kid (see 'poking holes in the condom', 'oops, guess i didn't really take my pill today', etc.) and the man obviously didn't want it and the woman did. There needs to be some protections for the man, and right now, there are none, and its shameful.
/r/MensRights07/10/12 12:13 AM
1

Why, though? Children immediately after birth have no greater capacity than fetuses. Why would a fetus not be owed any consideration but a child would, when all that happened is birth? Nothing has changed in the child.
/r/MensRights06/10/12 11:46 PM
1

the fetus becomes the human... so its "giving up what becomes the human" vs. "giving up the human". i'm just making a point. I disagree with you, so I disagree with illegalizing abortions and all such... just that i don't see it as an argument thats being very... all together.
/r/MensRights06/10/12 10:16 PM
1

The kid didn't force them to have sex, neither parent should be able to give up rights to the kid. So you plan on illegalizing abortions?
/r/MensRights06/10/12 10:12 PM
2

Nobody would say that the man could compell the woman to get an abortion. Ideally the woman wouldn't get an abortion if the guy didn't want it, but ultimately she does have to carry it for nine months so if she doesn't want it... well i can't really complain about an abortion. But I don't believe that the guy should have to be stuck with the baby if he doesn't want it and the woman does. The same time frame that the woman has to get an abortion, the guy would have that same time to relinquish al…

The pull-out method isn't necessarily reliable though. There's enough sperm in the pre-cum that she could get pregnant. So its not good if you're trying to get pregnant, but you can get pregnant. A condom, while maybe reducing the sensation, is in general safer. The 'best' combination is to use a condom and to pull out.

Fine. How do you define alpha male and beta male? Are you looking at intelligence, body size, some other distinctive measure?

Can we please not go into this alpha-male and beta-male classification? Assigning males to two different groups and making fun of the other is not conducive to the movement.

You can't blame the motorists, who thought they were doing the right thing. What they should have done is prevented the woman from running away, however. I also wonder if the man (who was an immigrant) was intentionally targeted because he was an immigrant. :/

Peeing sitting down = being a feminist? I pee sitting down at home because that's just how i've been raised. I don't consider it solidarity with feminism and i'm still a MRA.

Someone hitting on you like that... that is sexual harassment and deserves to be reported. Report it to someone with authority and likely things will happen to resolve the situation. A problem is that in many cases, when the roles are reversed, such a claim isn't taken seriously and so the abuse continues. That's one of the reasons why the mens right movement exists in the first place. Mens rights doesn't mean that men can harass women without consequences, but women shouldn't be able to harass …

"redditor for 11 minutes" First comment --> this one. :/ As for this, assuming you actually care (which would be quite the assumption), i'll just simply post what fellow redditors here have posted, which is quite the informative guide about why we need Men's rights. men from r/MensRights (especially rogersmith25 and johntheother) on reddit compiled this list, which goes as follows: I need men's rights because when she changed her mind the next day, I went to jail for 5 years. I need men's rights…
