Haha. One of my gfs did do all the cooking...and I did all the cleaning...it was a pretty equitable arrangement since she hated cleaning and liked good food, and I hated living in a messy place and hated cooking...:D

I'm not sure where I stand on porn...but I don't think primary/secondary teachers should ever have sex with their students, and I think for it to be illegal is appropriate. College it's...unethical to have sex with a student...but the student's old enough to like...get it, at least in my mind.

I think 16 is pretty reasonable. I don't LIKE the idea of a 16 year old having sex with a 40 year old...but I don't like the idea of people smoking at all, either...can't be 100% nanny state...right?

My sister and her ex fiance called the police, i'm not sure who called, but every time the police just came a de-escalated things and that was that. Everytime it got violent my sister started it and he never took it too far...sooo...I'm saying have some faith.

We need to get the other definition of merit in play here, which I thought was pretty clear. "Something deserving either good or bad recognition" Not 'achievement', just some thing. If males on average cost 2X to insure, and women cost X, why should men NOT pay twice as much? Should everyone just pay 1.5X(+profit)? Keep in mind the insurance companies do pay attention to not-at-fault accidents when rating a drivers risk.

I am a bit bothered by the reference to auto insurance. There's such a thing as merit-based discrimination. We do it all the time. An objective teacher discriminates on student performance to give out grades. Car insurance companies use statistics on how much it costs to insure a certain person based on things like where you live, age, gender etc. Men like me tend cause more damage as teenagers when they drive when they're teenagers.
