I'm just getting this now.. no need to curse, my friend.. it was fun while it lasted :D

Ah.. well then perhaps the discussion does end there; as soon as you "write someone off.." as "useful" (?) idiots just because they don't see eye to eye with you, people cease to progress and learn. I am not a follower of any ideology whatsoever, I am merely saying that you can't generalize an entire group of people with an all-encompassing explanation. I mean.. you can.. you did.. but I think THAT is where the foolishness kicks in. I did not assume you were a close-minded individual, but I was …

That's what I'm saying, friend, that social experience can affect genetics. So you can't go against nurture at all, and I'm sure some others would consider "giving a fuck" besides feminists. And I brought up "attack" for the mere reason of how abrasive your comments are; I feared, at least at first, that you were one who went with the ideology that "I am louder and have witty snaps at people, therefore I am right."

Sorry for my delay and we will definitely continue this, but I'm on my way to class. What I have time for and will return to is that Feminism addresses not a "woman's" problem but a human inequality problem. I will look for specific examples to find something that is just male positive, but I doubt I will find it, being that it is a push for the Human race, not necessarily gender specific.

I don't believe my understanding to be woefully inadequate at all.. like I said I think I'm very idealistic and think there's more to be accomplished in life when combining ourselves than drawing up more lines to divide ourselves on. And would that Feminist be me? I consider myself a humanist, which is why I try my best to fight for both sides, normally coming under attack of anger from the same. I think it's a cop out to just count an entire side out. A loss of faith in humanity is what I read …

Wow.. I didn't know this existed for so long. That's awesome though. And it's ok.. with people like you actually explaining themselves instead of just dropping some witty, hurtful comments bashing the belief as opposed to why they disagree. I'm not sure how one stays in touch on this site.. but do so lol It's been great!

I do believe that the movie addresses (and rightfully so) what has become a society of oppressed men, but I think that it can be viewed in a broader sense as well

Ahh.. such a shame. I'm late in the game, which is lame. I ran out of words, but I do enjoy the site, so I can't complain too much. Could complain have worked to follow up lame? Too late now.. haha

This is true. I do believe that society pushes it and constantly reaffirms it, but I agree with you. Thank you. THANK YOU, for having a healthy conversation with me! I've noticed that on most posts and categories I can engage in meaningful debate, but in Men's Rights for some reason people just get angry and demeaning. It doesn't look good for us, my friend.. not by a long shot haha

Which was negatory? And I do agree that women are more reproductively valuable.. but I'm not sure I understand how it backs "negatory"..

Nah.. that's definitely taking a completely different, very dumbed down, strict, and kind of weak interpretation of what I stated. I definitely think neuroscience plays an important role. It dictates how people react to social situations. but to count out all social "nuturing" is kind of ignorant, no? I don't think you can just look at brain functions and say "OK! I've explained why certain behaviors are exhibited by people!"

I think there are angry people in Feminist movements very similar to ignoramuses in the men's rights movements. They will both bash the other, talk other people's ideas down, basically operating exactly the same way. I honestly believe that should be a connecting factor more than anything else, but alas people stick their hand in their pants and get angry at those who don't pack what they pack. I do believe that Feminism is about choice. To me, Feminism can go hand in hand with Men's Rights in r…

In regards to your first attack, I was referring to the sociologist Margret Mead ( I believe that's her name) had some data on a couple (more than one) tribes and the like that were successful and survived in a matriarchal society. I doubt there's much on their actual GDP, but if you believe that correlation means causation (in regards to male-driven societies being successful) then go ahead and do yo' thang. With verbal assault number two, I'm not positive what PC is.. I'm not really too hip in…

This is a very respectful, progressive, and unfortunately uncommon situation, at least from my experiences. Keep it up though, and best wishes!

I'm working on finding specific sociological articles proving the "pseudo intellectuals" somewhat right; there have been many cultures in which women went out to hunt while men gathered and raised children. I can't remember the exact tribe, but there is strong evidence that women were also the sexual aggressors and decision makers in the home and community. As I've said in other postings, I am 100% for men's rights and think our society's (speaking from the United States) belief that men are imm…

I wouldn't say it's hardwired by evolution at all.. unless you take social constructs into account when looking at evolution. I do know of "mr. mom's" as society has named stay at home dad's in happy relationships with a woman working outside of the house for a salary, however I believe how women are raised makes them feel entitled to a degree. I think this is the misconception about feminism as well; people think that feminism can only exist in spite of Man, and that they must struggle against …

Haha I don't know if they hate families.. I mean the ignorant radicals I'm sure view families as a ball and chain to women everywhere, but real feminists are about women being liberated and having a choice. And if that choice is to be a homemaker, it should be respected along with the choice to be CEO of whatever company they choose.. Tresemme Hair Products for instance :-P (for any of the potential radical feminists I mentioned earlier reading this, I keeed)

Amazing. Thank you for that; that was certainly closure. I'm surprised THAT story wasn't published and professed as much as the initial accusations were... interesting >:( lol

Certainly to the last comment; I think there are certain radicals on both sides that feel their cause cannot flourish while the other exists. I am definitely new here and just figured out I could see responses to my comments so now my learning can begin :-) I think the reason feminism exists is not just to gain equality for women in written law (which I do not believe has actually happened yet) but to create an equal society where one can do well and rise based off of merit as opposed to being a…

I think life is just tough with all these things; people feel obligated to gender-fy their kids immediately, I mean right from birth! It's a tough battle for any and all involved, but especially for boys who are forced to be a "man".

I think it's because animals weren't always respected.. we're looking at a chart that I believe is showing possible increases. It doesn't take into account of the placement already present at all

Eh I don't know about this one; I think we (positioning myself with the male gender) have found ourselves on top over the years (no pun intended). I think many men worry about "womens rights" in the sense that "they" are taking something that is innately ours. I don't agree, andI believe that many men in the corporate world who promote unregulated capitalism should agree with me as well. The best should be hired, with appropriate, EQUAL requirements being met.

I just posted this on another article but I deem this one in need of the same: I do understand the need for anonymity in certain circumstances for the victims as completely necessary; whether it is right or wrong, women in our society (written from United States) as well as others around the world are deemed "damaged goods" when put under such a hateful act as rape, as the article states. However, I do believe that that same anonymity that helps victims of these horrible crimes come forward and …

This article does get me fired up, but I don't want to join in to what could be deemed a sort of "vag-bashing" haha In the end I truly just want equal equality, not a sense of "more" equality for women. I thoroughly respect all people, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, etc, and have actually gotten myself involved in a field that promotes that as well (Social Work). But in that same program, I am bashed myself for being "an oppressor" of minorities. And minorities meaning not …
