probably a good idea to go on amazon, look up authors that have written on this topic (erin pizzey, esther vilar, christina hoff sommers, etc), and find similar recommendations on those pages that were released after 2012. haven't read this, but just found it using that criteira - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E5HER5I/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1

figures. typical damaged abuse victim chick. these stories of damage are always legitimately tragic, but the damage eventually manifests in distorted views of - and outlashings at - the world around them. sucks, but at some point, you have to put your foot down on them hurting people around them, regardless of the cause

it's good to remind yourself once in awhile that there are people out there in the world who are actually like this it's a brutal dose of reality to swallow, but you need to protect yourself from the crazies

The fuck does this have to do with men's rights... You could be spending your energy towards changing family courts / custody / alimony / false rape claims / female pedophiles / shit that actually matters but instead you're gonna post butthurt stuff about strippers on Ellen, get the fuck outta here

It's more important to educate people. Sometimes women say some crazy shit. Sometimes men say some crazy shit. People are confused because they have unique, limited experiences, and their access to facts only goes so far. Get out of this mentality of picking teams and start trying to figure out how to respectfully get people to understand truth. In terms of this subreddit in particular, let's start with areas where men are being harmed - family courts, male rape/abuse awareness, circumcision, et…

Of all the legitimate things to complain about on /r/mensrights, this is really not one. I guarantee not a single male poster here has experienced frequent unwanted verbal (and sometimes physical) attention from unattractive women in the gym. It's not about just getting stared at. It's not about being self-conscious and looking sweaty. Can you imagine some obese, socially awkward chick trying to rub up against you, telling you "nice ass" once a week when you're trying to lift? I've talked to mor…

That's cool, it just feels to me like this particular post is really reaching to find something to be offended about. "See? This is just another example of the world treating men like idiots" sounds a lot like "See? This is just another example of the patriarchy objectifying women." I really don't think the webcomic author really had some underlying message about gender issues on this one. But even if he/she did - it's a joke. There are a lot more harmful examples than this of how the world view…

Honestly, this is humor. Humor. I'm all for most of what I see in this subreddit. But one common criticism we have with women is that they can't take a joke. Let's not be hypocrites.

Here's a vid/speech the professor made on the topic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-7YGGCE9es Watched the whole thing earlier this morning. Interesting stuff, dude is obviously very well-read which is refreshing to see. Says he may end up doing more videos on the topic.
