100%! I’ve definitely experienced this from guys too. OP seems young maybe. I’d wonder the same thing at 21/22, why didn’t that guy who got my number at the bar ever text me?! Like hmm couldn’t possibly be that he met me half drunk, watched me slam a pickle shot and rap a whole lil Wayne verse, then alternate dancing drunkenly on him and my female friends. Like even if there were some cool, down to earth conversations in the mix too, I just don’t blame anyone for not jumping to set up a date aft…

Alcohol doesn’t “play a factor” alcohol is pretty much the entire reason this happens. If a guy is getting blocked the next day, then literally all the “chemistry” was simply booze. There’s nothing wrong with having bar flings if you enjoy it but it’s actively counterproductive to finding something that lasts beyond a night out or two. No one shows their best side in those circumstances. No matter how well you think you hold your liquor, the longer you spend drinking with that attractive strange…

Oh! Hmmm if we’re just strictly talking about sex I think it honestly boils down to the fact that women have much higher stakes in that game so it’s really just nature running its course that females are a lot more likely to gatekeep sex and insist on seeing men demonstrate things like resources, care, commitment, or at most shallow at least some appealing genetics before the woman is willing to give access to her reproductive areas. And not all women, as evidenced by OP and many other modern wo…

What specifically? Just picking a guy who’s willing to have casual sex with you? My own personal take is that I don’t quite get how that would be fulfilling but other people seem to like it so to each their own

Fair enough, perhaps in my flabbergast I didn’t choose words carefully enough. Certainly not condoning the notion that women are more entitled to easy access to sex or that men don’t fully deserve to say no without question. Point remains, if a woman creates a dating app profile with accurate photo representations of herself, and out of the pool of guys who swipe yes on her, picks a few she likes best to message and say hey listen I really don’t have the bandwidth for a serious relationship but …

Girl literally just about anyone you’d like to fuck would be down for this. If there’s one thing men don’t turn down it’s sex with no strings attached, they don’t even have to be super attracted to you. Literally just make a tinder and indicate in the bio that you’re super busy and don’t have any time for something serious. Your inbox will be flooded just take your pick from the hundreds of messages and choose the guy you’re most attracted to If the apps haven’t worked out at this point perhaps …

I’m not referring to Christians I’m referring to people who profess to read the Bible daily. If we were talking Christians vs astrology believers it would be on the order of 5-6x more common to be Christian. It’s not tongue in cheek, your assertion that most women talk at length about astrology reads chronically online. I never encounter people in real life who care because they’re not that common. We absolutely can enjoy that men and women are different, which I do. I’m married to a bow hunting…

Ok the points you laid out: “Either way they’re going to talk my ear off about astrology and tiktok”. To say men don’t have tiktok in common with women is easily proven wrong simply by user demographics. TikTok has more female users than male by only a small margin - there’s about 500 million male users on the platform. As for astrology, the odds of a woman reading the Bible regularly is far higher than her reading a horoscope regularly, so you’ve picked something relatively unlikely for any wom…

this is a truly incredible comment..,. How many years has it been since you’ve spoken to an actual woman? Surely you’ve seen women at death metal concerts? Or perhaps you don’t leave your basement at all…..

I mean I feel like super young ladies (under 23) is a little weird, they have very little in common with you to where even spending the time with them for a casual hookup would feel weird. Other than that though, not weird as long as you’re cool about it. I’ve been attracted to older guys since I was 23/24 (10, 15, 20+ yrs older). As long as they’re grown adults, creepy is defined by your behavior not by your age. Young men can be creepy, older guys can be normal.

Are the bars better? I feel like it’s a numbers game either way if you’re just looking for something physical Honestly the “day game” is a much better way to get a girlfriend though I would say

Yeah I guess it all just depends what you’re after. If you just want to hook up I feel like you might as well do tinder?

Coffee shops, gyms, dating apps, dog park, pottery studio, volunteering, fb meetup groups for literally any hobby (running, photography, hiking, foodie), garden store, book store, concert…… Just because these aren’t all specifically social places doesn’t mean you can’t approach a woman. Ask any straight woman you know if she’d be open to be approached at one of these settings so long as the man was polite. Bet you anything it’s a yes

Yeah like I’m not going to try to tell you not to do that. The bars definitely have a lot of opportunities especially if you’re interested in hookups I will just say as someone who went to the bars with my girl friends for years, we can tell the guys that are out to have fun with their guys and only approaching women if they see someone that really stands out to them vs the guys who don’t actually like being out at bars, they’re just forcing themself to be there to meet women. And the former is …

That’s fair enough. Do whatever you like, but opting for a setting you actually enjoy and feel happy in could do you some favors in terms of how your approaches land.

I am…. The bars are full of women who want to be approached, and to me the body language cues are obvious. Sure, there are some women who are in relationships that just came out to have fun with their friends but for the most part, women with zero interest in being approached wouldn’t go out to the bars

Do you even like being at the bars? If you go out JUST to meet girls and you don’t enjoy the scene at all, they can probably sense that and it’s off putting. If a girl turns you down just hang out and enjoy your friends and your drinks for a bit until you see some other attractive women who look like they’d like to be approached

Woman here - this is sound advice just in life in general. There is nothing to be gained in trying to convince someone who doesn’t see your worth to see it except for if we’re talking business/job opportunities. In that situation, sell yourself hard and don’t let the first no be the end of the conversation. But for friendships, hookups, relationships? Don’t spend your time trying to convince someone you’re worth it or making sure they fully understand where you’re coming from. That will only fur…

How much time have you spent in the USA lol. Vail, CO has a huge Swiss population and that’s just one random place I have experience with. Edit - also have spent a fair bit of time in New York and there’s literally every nationality there including all sorts of European nationalities. If you live somewhere with no diversity the selection for dating won’t be as good 🤷🏼‍♀️

I feel like this must be a location thing. I’m from colorado (USA) and the nice malls here have lots of gorgeous American, European, Latina, and middle eastern women.

Do you have any nice high end malls near you? If you live in a suburb where the nicest store in the mall is Macy’s then ya it will be that way. I assume this person is from a decent sized city where the malls have shopping that classy grown women are interested in
