The title of the post and the content of the article are at odds. "TfL’s new advertising policy, which does not include all images of people in their underwear or swimming gear, is only expected to affect a handful of the 12,000 adverts a year which run across the network, including at bus shelters and on-street sites." This isn't a law. It doesn't ban bikinis. It doesn't ban western women.

Math Time. 14 people pictured. Two might identify as African American. Let's presume zero are. Black people are 10% of the US population. So presuming (erroneously, but go with it) that all other factors are equal the likelihood of choosing 14 non-black people randomly is 0.914 or 0.228. The odds of Huffpo hiring/promoting on the basis of race is about 77%. I took a gender studies class in college. In it I learned that women can't have safe spaces because men come in and hijack the conversation. Yet the stickied front page post in the Men's Rights subreddit is a feminist sharing her views. Will you please, please try to imagine with me the fury that we would witness if an MRA had an AMA stickied on the frontpage of /feminism?
