I have no idea how to become confident. I'm just not that type of person. I used to be like that. Here's what worked for me: You know that you're awesome. If you had a clone, he would be your best friend, because that guy is fucking hilarious. He makes the best jokes, and he's incredibly sincere and down to earth, he's a nice guy, he cares about others, he doesn't ever shove his way in front of people or act like an asshole. You could talk about anything with this dude, right? He's pretty damn c…

What if last February, I talked to HB8 and created a solid, lasting impression (Like that will ever happen). Look here. This is your problem. "Like that will ever happen". If you talked to her in February, you would definitely have created 'a solid, long lasting impression' - that you were afraid of her. You need to work on your confidence. Don't give two shits about what she might think of you. You're awesome, right? If you met yourself, would you not hit it off insanely well with that dude? Wo…

Honestly? I think it sounds really weak and like a way to guard yourself with plausible deniability. A pretty girl gets told that she's just that about fifty times a day by random strangers in various of ways. Telling a girl that you think she's pretty is about the shittiest opener possible. If you want to compliment her looks, which is obviously the first thing that comes to mind when you see a cutie, pick something a bit more detailed. Preferably something she put effort into, like mix-matchin…

I can confirm that this is all it takes. I lived very close to the center of the city, and had a great room for pre-gaming. Naturally people always suggested to start out at my place, and sometimes they didn't even want to leave for the bars and stayed all night. I did this all throughout High School (legal drinking age in Denmark), and everybody seemed to know who I was. Unfortunately I was too young to understand why and capitalize on it. So many lost opportunities :(

You forget that you also had the social proof of your mutual good bar friend talking about you and going out with you in a platonic fashion. It displays a signal of abundance and confidence - and not to downplay your brilliant outcome independence - but that might have been the strongest factor in your game that night.

Thing with texting is that you need to be very careful. You can text her a hundred times with great response, but all it takes is one misunderstanding and she'll give you the shoulder. Remember that she can't read your tone, face or body language at all, and since she's talking to a stranger, she's analyzing the fuck out of every word you say. Sometimes more than you intended. I've dropped it all on the floor too many times because I got a bit cocky and she thought I was being a dick because she…

I was in your exact situation two months ago. Here's my tested advice: Build friendships first, fuckbuddies second. Go out as much as possible. Even when you don't really feel like it, go somewhere. If it sucks, you can go back home, but at least try. For some reason, the nights where I wasn't giving a fuck at all and thought it would be boring, turned out to be the most successful and fun ones. Open as many people as possible. They "Hey, I just moved here, you guys seem like fun" approach will …

TL;DR: Tall HB7 who was spewing feminist, man-hating bullshit. Started fucking with her for kicks and practice, and shit worked. Just last night I got very late to a party and things had started winding down. I went into a room where a friend was sitting together with an HB7, and sat down with them (he wasn't gaming her). Turned out this girl was in a serious man-hating mood that night, and went on about the usual "all men are pigs" bullshit. I just leaned back against the wall/on the floor and …

I'm from Denmark. Doing a few months of work here (internship) as part of my degree back home. The girls, and the scene as a whole is a lot more different. Off the top of my head: Cali girls are a lot more direct and easier to sexualize conversation with. Girls at home are a little more reserved, and the Danish language is kind of awkward for sexualization. It's too polite of a language I guess. Scandinavia has an overload of beautiful women. This means that you can be talking to an HB8 that isn…

Hey man, thanks for the kind words. I was indeed expecting my boss to show up, but since I just moved here from Denmark last month, and only know a handful of people here so far, I went all out on battling AA and trying to make some friends that night. Went to shake her hand, and transformed it into a quick kiss. I'm trying to picture this in my head, but every way I do it seems very awkward and indecisive. Unless you mean you grabbed her hand and dragged her close or something. Could you elaborate?

I still can't decide whether or not to do the handshake. It seems so formal and sales-y, but it just fucking happens out of nowhere. God damned polite social norms wired into my brain.

You know when you bring home a really hot girl, and then when you have some intimate 1on1 post-coitus, you realize that she's just as awkward and normal as you, and not the perfect picture you painted in your head..? There's the option of avoiding the question, or answering with another question. Like Girl: Why aren't you drinking anything? You: What, you think I'm easier if I'm drunk? ;)

Note that you will have a hard time getting results with this approach in busy environments. Too much distracting shit going on around you, and if you're sitting with a girl in a club/busy bar, she's probably not looking for a quiet relaxed night out. This probably works best in cafés and other quieter/calmer areas.

I don't understand why you can't just be in a relationship and agree that you'll take a look at how things are going at the end of the year..? Yes, you did strike a bit of luck there, but I imagine it was also the setting. If you met a girl at a bar, or a club, she would probably not be as forgiving. I'm guessing she sensed that you're new to the whole romantic thing and thought it was cute, so she decided to cut you some slack. Some girls dig that, and she probably appreciated your honesty. The 'guys should buy a girl her drink' is an outdated remnant from older times. It holds no place in todays society where we're fighting for equality. You can't have both sides of the cake, ladies. If a girl rejects you because you didn't buy her a drink, then thank the fucking imaginary lord man. If she latches on to that sort of belief, let alone uses it to "test" guys, then you can bet your fucking ass that will just be the beginning of it. Ask her out for breakfast next time you meet at the gym/run into her. Easy to make something witty out of it since it's sort of unorthodox (usually you ask out for dinner). There's also a sexual route to take with it (if that's your thing) since promising each other breakfast usually entails other motives, cough cough.

On first glance it's a shame that people are so hostile against the seddit community and the concept in general. But when you really think about it, it's actually a blessing. Imagine if people took it to heart right away and didn't have to spend some time understanding how it works. The subreddit would be flooded with people who think it's a magic treasure chest of up-down-left-right-A-B cheat codes to finally lose their virginity. The theories and techniques would be taken way to literal and us…

I usually don't find myself affected by approach anxiety before I'm in the actual moment of about-to-initiate-conversation. And I doubt doing this at a club/bar would have much effect (lots of distractions) aside from making me look like I'm high. That said, it was a very relaxing exercise and I will definitely be using this to handle stressful workdays. Thanks for sharing, JC!

Especially the last part is kind of infuriating: And while men use the lure and promise of "love" to get sex from women, what Jessica did is no different: She was merely using the bait of "sex" or "love" for free dinners or gifts from men. It basically says "Men don't want relationships, so they deceive to get sex. Women don't want sex, so they deceive to get relationships." Which is not true at all. It's a misinformed opinion. That is the stupidest shit I've read in a long time. You don't need to act like a douche to get women. In fact, that is counterproductive. There's a very strong misconception with his logic here. He assumes that women and men think alike and are attracted to the same things, and that this means he is seeing the world exactly like a hot woman when the tables get turned like this - which is not the case at all. Sure, he'll flat out deny girls who aren't insanely hot when he's not in the mood, but it doesn't work like that the other way around. Women chase status and intelligence - persona, whereas guys chase looks. So if you approach…

It's the typical "I'm a nice guy. That's why I don't get any girls." mentality. He tells himself that girls go for bad boys because they like to get hurt. They don't. They go for 'bad boys', because those guys show confidence, and aren't clingy and desperate for attention, like James here.

I've thought about this a couple of times before, as it's an easy way to up your social proof by large magnitudes. However, I've always come to the conclusion that this is not how the whole thing should be approached. It gets too close to just calling up a prostitute or whatever. Your thoughts are good, but you're misunderstanding the concept. The stages are not built around what is considered to be 'most romantic'. They are barriers of comfort so to speak. Basically people touch and get touched by random things and persons all the time on their hands and arms, so they are used to that. It's the 'easy' and first stage, because you can't really gauge it wrong. It will pretty much always be acceptable. Abdomen and legs aren't as common places to be touched. They require a …

Well of course not. The average guy reading this forum can't give proper advice either, but that doesn't mean that they can't get it right sometimes. I understand your point, but your inability to give advice does not mean that everyone else are unable to as well. In the scenario you hypothesized, I would advice the girl through very basic knowledge we have when it comes to attracting a guy. And most of the time that will be enough for the guy to start his game ;) There's a fine balance between sexism and objective analysis within this topic, and it's not always easy to land on the right side. Which is also why we have so much drama between the related sex-themed subreddits. I would argue (without coming off as too sexist) that in most cases it will not take as much careful thought and planning from a woman to seduce a guy as it would vice versa, which you also hinted yourself. It's not chauvinist brah. Yes. Yes it is. Proclaiming that a woman can't be trusted for what she is saying, based simply on the fact that she is a woman, is about as chauvinist as it gets. Let's see you tell a woman how she can seduce guys. None of us are good at it from the perspective of the seducee, because we've never done it. Glad r/seduction isn't male-exclusive then, huh? :) Nobody forces you to chip in when a girl asks for advice, and most chicks that come here for advice are aware that …

Thanks for your insight. It's always nice to know that we're not just running around in a massive placebo-esque effect ;) I would clarify the point of the HB model, but Tofu seems to have said it better than I could already, as usual.

Apart from your chauvinist stance on all women being confused about themselves, and therefore not credible for anything they say, I enjoyed the part where you thought it was up to you - or anyone for that matter - who gets to read and contribute to this subreddit. Keep it up, man.

Success, yes. Enjoyable life, maybe. I for one like to be able to do whatever I feel like at a certain time, rather than having everything planned. Nothing beats good surprises and positive outcomes of spontaneous moments.

It would be in Japanese. The majority of pick up is body language and kino. Which you cannot hear. You could replicate his conversation down to every little detail, but if you don't escalate the way he does, you're going to get an entirely different response. Tofu is not your personal trainer. He is not your dad either. He is a friend that shares some of his most valuable secrets with you, and you should be grateful enough for that alone. True to some extent I guess. It really comes down to what terms they are on, and how things ended between them. If he's really done with her it shouldn't be a problem (if we pretend like any of us can actually be that mature), but you seem to know your friend pretty well, so good job at keeping a cool head and staying a loyal friend. Who knows, maybe this built even more attraction with her, and your friend might turn out to be genuinely over her.

I got a little peck in, but she kind of turned away. Not really sure what to do about that, except I think trying to kiss her at the end of the night wasn't a good idea. Actually you have to be persistent and keep trying. As already mentioned, you probably just needed to isolate her. It's not a no unless she says so. If she turns away, it's a 'not now'.
/r/seduction27/03/11 06:19 PM

Any tips for isolation? Tell her you want to grab some air and that she can join you if she wants.

Not sure I understand this. Do you mean making it obvious that you're looking at her, so she will notice and hopefully reveal an unintentional IOI?

The thing is, the reason you feel fake is because you never thought of this on your own, and how normal it actually is in everyday life. All the tips you read on here (or most of them) are pretty much breakdowns and observations of what the people who are naturally successful at seduction are already doing. That guy you know that everyone likes and the girls are drooling over? He does this. He probably doesn't know it though, because to him it's all natural. He gets it, but he doesn't think abou…

I agree. I'm usually pretty good at explaining things anyway. How does a broad amount of topics relate to metaphors though? I don't really follow that bit. Which is sort of ironic, really, considering it's about being understandable, haha.

As far as the correctness of the things I say. Its all about noticing the small details or tells of a person. Most people, when they agree, all tell in similar ways. Slight nod, leaning in, eyes dilating, eyebrows raised, arm movement. Disagreeing - shifting stance, head tilts, leaning back, eyebrows come closer together, less arm/body movement. Gotta pay more attention to this. It's basically the core to a successful interaction and reading someone. I know I've been reading these signals subcon…

Good stuff. One question! When you were blabbering on about her psychological profile - did you just make shit up on the spot, or was there some reality behind the things you were saying? If so, how could you tell that the things you were going to say would be correct?
/r/seduction21/03/11 03:37 PM

Wish I was this good at improvising when talking to girls. I'm a boss at it with friends, but I always get so caught up in my head when talking to strangers :/ Very nice FR though, I really hope to see more from you! The step-by-step form and explanations of key points were actually really helpful. I hope to pull something like that off one day. If the game could be won, I think you did that night.

Sounds like a pretty clever tactic, similar to what some of us are already doing, but doesn't it have a large potential to backfire in either of the following two ways? Girl focuses on the fact that you didn't call the previous girl. She doesn't want that risk, so she loses interest. You care so little about the girls you talk to that you can't even remember what they look like. Loss of interest.

Keeping pensive and not smiling for about 2 seconds is vital. It is characteristic of successful people, as mentioned by Lowndes in her book "How to Talk to Anyone" This is solid and useful information. Got any similar tips to share?

When I was reading it, I felt it was pretty interesting and somewhat educational too. Nice to hear things from the female perspective for once. However, she should have worded this differently: Paying for drinks: I know this is frowned upon, but yeah, if you don’t buy the girl at least one drink, it will really look like you're not interested. Even friends do this for each other. I believe she clarified later that she meant when you had established an connection, but that can't be read in that p…

It's worth mentioning that HB9 has been out with me consistently as best friends for a good 15 years. So you're in your thirties or something then? I ask because I'm only starting on my twenties, but I've always had the idea that once you hit 30-40 there aren't many places to go anymore, never mind picking up girls. This is a genuine question, I don't mean to be disrespectful in any way. If anything, thanks for contributing!

I'm a total AFC (haven't been laid in like 5 months), so I might be completely off on this. But that she talks sex with you a lot, fishing for invitations, not objecting to touch, etc. are to me pretty strong IOIs. To make a conversation about sex sexy shouldn't be that hard I think. From the top of my head you could say in a joking-but-not-really that she should show you or something. Like: Her: I love giving blowjobs. You: Why is that? Her: Because I'm really good at it. You: Really? I wouldn'…

Uhm you guys... Calm down. If your girlfriend thought you were cheating on her, do you feel that she would be warranted to snoop through your emails? No, right? I agree that he deserves sympathy for her cheating, and that we need to back each other up against violations to our fellow man, but there has to be a limit, too. He had no right to do that, whether she was cheating or not.

A: It may become a trend for some to exchange sexual favors for grade advances. B: If a student has sex with their teacher, it will probably be a lot harder to focus during class. C: Some teachers may abuse this, or let their sexual desires affect their judgement of a student. D: Some teachers may try to come on to a student and, if rejected, punish the student with lesser grades. E: Students could also be afraid of the above scenario, and feel obligated to comply with any sexual advances. F: It…
