I never really understood that myself. My guess is that this subreddit attracts so many newly-minted MGTOW's, who are still preoccupied with their red pill rage and are generally uncomfortable with learning of how male/female relationships truly work. If you're expecting a conventional guitar sound, terrible. They were based on a 3 or 4 stringed instrument called the "strum stick" which sounded great and had a folk-music vibe going for it. Martin bought the design and made it a 6 string to appeal to a mass market. It's very hollow and boxy sounding, much as you'd expect for its size. When most people think acoustic guitar, they thing punchy and full bodied, the opposite of what this thing offered.
