There’s a thing I didn’t want to admit in my own divorce— and this isn’t to say that it’s the same for you and your ex, just something to think about. I had similar feelings about my wife. She was highly emotional and would fly off the handle at me over what seemed like stupid shit at the time. If you work less and are their primary caregiver, then that will make a difference. But typically, the TX court system tends to be very invested in keeping kids with their mothers and fighting for custody when there’s no history of clear drug/alcohol abuse or violence against the CHILDREN can backfire if you’re not careful. You’re in TX, so unless you have 15 to 30K to spend and hard proof that she’s a drug addict, I don’t think this is going to go the way you think. Best thing you can do is make peace with her and try to mutually work out a 50/50 arrangement. I’ve read some of your post history and I think you should sit down for some real talk with an experienced family attorney.
