I feel as though when people vent, they obviously want to speak and just be heard, but only to a certain extent. I think he’d love for you to side with him, reflect his passion towards the issue and validate him (unless ofc he’s really off point). Don’t take it so far as to make him feel like he’s talking to himself ya know, no one wants that. The self help stuff has consumed me for years, I think it’s what made me so introspective and hard on myself tbh cuz it just increased my self awareness like toooooo much. Lowkey I think for some people it might cause more harm than good now that u say that

You’re right. I’ve been trying to work on that, somehow I just compare myself to everyone on YouTube/comedians/tv characters/social media and am just in awe of their personalities/style, and even tho I KNOW that’s why they’re famous I somehow think I need to match that as if everyone’s like that. It’s ridiculous, def a deeper problem with myself. But ya the negativity is almost the core of my thought processes, always feeling like I need to be the best. It’s really hard to change it tho, like I …

Wow. Thank you for the reality check. I guess I am really hard on myself. You’re so right, I’m really gonna apply that mindset of getting to understand people over everything else. Good advice, this really helped <3

Oh wow, youve really been thinking hard about this haha. I like the levels, very accurate. And I'm sorry for this predicament you seem to have found yourself in. Honestly, I don't think it's that "retarded" or weird that you're cold towards people especially strangers. You seem to be the type of person that doesn't like bullshit small talk and whatnot, and because of this don't have much experience/practice in it. So you ain't good at it (and I think most of us especially the younger folk are on…
