I agree with dresdonbogart, make a move and you'll find out. Want to be more covert than that? Withdraw for a week. Keep responses short and stay busy (or at least appear that way). You'll find out where it's going based on how she responds. If she's into you, she'll initiate even after you explain that you're just really busy that week. If you're the one doing all the initiation, then you can break the bad news to yourself. If you can't bring yourself to withdraw, then you need to reconsider yo…

In her mind, you're already gone. She's checked out of the relationship. She wouldn't be dating her new boyfriend otherwise. Acknowledge this, get over the ideal you set in your mind that she was the one, and go find new people or work on yourself. My understanding of this is that you cannot change people. You can only change yourself. By changing yourself, you can (hopefully) inspire people around you to change themselves. They have to want that change (or want you enough to change themselves). So do your thing, work on your kingdom, remember to lift, and give everyone else around you something to envy and strive towards. You can't stop this society's collapse, but at least you can be there for the rebuilding.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
