This is a very complex issue, you're being over-reductionist. There are a lot of reasons people over eat.

IIFYM is a description of what the mechanism is, not a diet.

No, it's due to overreating.

Keto is not a fad diet. Whether it is useful to a given individual is dependent on the goals of the person.

Let me guess, there's no Batman or Superman either? Fuck, I thought movies were real.

Muscle does not really inhibit flexibility, but it does affect endurance which will get you KOd in a fight.

The food pyramid is full of shit, but don't act like anyone follows it. If people did actually follow it they would be in much better health/weight even though it's not the optimal diet.

That's not true, there are more overweight women than men.

Bullshit, "morality" goes beyond social construct and is tied directly to evolutionary strategy.

From what horses mouth? You're not the only one in here who is or has been married. I get it - marriage is put on a pedestal in the US and in many other countries/cultures, and it's not all it's cracked up to be. People get married due to societal pressures, all too often. But there are good aspects to being married. Your view is just as subjective as people who believe in happily ever afters.

LOL, I hope you're trolling. I guess if you're really alpha you wash your dishes with your wife's tears and then hand them off to be dried by your mistress.

Many people have successful marriages, instead of saying don't get married, we should just caution against the wide-held belief that marriage is one of the main attributes of a successful adult.

What recent politician has ever had an elegant solution to major problem? Any complex "solution" is based on belief system masquerading as contorted logic, and/or focus polls trying to appeal to greatest number of voters.

Well, the majority of men with admirable physiques are in the gym for hours because the key to having a good physique or excelling in any recreational fitness activity is consistency. And the easiest way to be consistent is: to really enjoy what you're doing. These people are in the gym because that's where they want to be. However, being in the gym for a long time does not mean you'll have a good physique, nor is spending a lot of time in the gym required to have a good physique - which is what…

This is not what the laws state, but I agree it happens more often than not due to laziness/bias/CYA in law enforcement.

There are only categories to consider - those activities which further your interests and those activities that harm your interests. This entirely depends on the person and their interests.

Complete bullshit. The academic "industry" can be very cutthroat (esp as tenure positions are cut) and as far as working with hands (whatever that means in 2015) is no more different than any other office worker.

You don't swing against 2 drunk guys who, from the story, sound bigger than OP. Good way to get his ass kicked for no good reason.

How would anyone here know? That is a detailed enough subject to need proper controlled studies. Try it out and see for yourself if it works for you.

You are referring to dietary compliance, which is different than actual weight loss/body composition. As OP said, the best diet is the one you stick to.

Complete bullshit. You sound like a PT yourself, trying to be too cute for your own good. People, listen to OP - concentrate on calories, and the results will follow. Anything else is justifying your own lack of control / willpower in the name of junk science (i.e. you are fat because you eat too much, nothing else).
