Mental exercises to leverage confidence?Haha I know. I am 100% confident I will get a new job, I just meant with this specific opportunity, I'm still at the hopeful stage. It's the 3rd interview, and basically just a personality check with the 2nd founder of the company. Already killed the test assignment, won over the person directly hiring, and one of the founders, so I have very few doubts. 2 weeks ago I went to a 3rd interview for a different job and saw "hire u/bbbbburner" on a to-do list on a whiteboard, so I was 1000% sure, but… | /r/seduction | 15/12/17 03:22 PM
Mental exercises to leverage confidence? When is the last time you really challenged yourself and got out of your comfort zone? This is a great point. I do hard stuff but I don't push my comfort zone (in a real, meaningful way) as often as would be good. I'm (hopefully) about to start a new job in the next few weeks which will be a good chance to shake up my routine and get out of my comfort rut. | /r/seduction | 15/12/17 02:35 PM
Mental exercises to leverage confidence?Art of Manliness and Stuff You Should Know (two podcasts I listen to) have both featured stoicism pretty recently. I can definitely relate to that mindset. I think it aligns pretty well with my personality. I guess the thing is I need to be more consistently stoic. Thanks for reminding me of this! | /r/seduction | 15/12/17 02:34 PM
Mental exercises to leverage confidence?I know I threw that acronym in there pretty casually. It's testosterone replacement therapy. | /r/seduction | 14/12/17 10:00 PM
Mental exercises to leverage confidence?Testosterone peak and trough is a thing for sure, but this isn't that. The protocol and testosterone suspension I'm using doesn't give me much of a roller coaster. There's a tiny uptick in energy etc about 24 hours after an injection, but the roller coaster effect is really negligible. The only reason I brought up TRT is that the placebo boost I experienced at first was a real eye opener to how powerful a placebo effect can be. The rise and fall of confidence level is something that I've felt fo… | /r/seduction | 14/12/17 09:33 PM
Mental exercises to leverage confidence?mmm, I don't know. I've been living a pretty hardcore nutrition/fitness focused lifestyle for a long long time with virtually no cheating (at this point it's been years since I even vaguely craved cheat foods). My body is one thing I feel super confident about. | /r/seduction | 14/12/17 07:39 PM
Mental exercises to leverage confidence? Thanks, I will check that sam harris video out. TRT is testosterone replacement therapy (taking exogenous testosterone to bring your levels to within the normal range). I was low range for my total testosterone and below standard range for what's called bioavailable testosterone. There's too much to say about TRT to get into it here, but briefly, TRT has significant downsides, not something to do for kicks, definitely a very big decision, and for most people it's a lifelong commitment. Definitel… | /r/seduction | 14/12/17 05:56 PM
Mental exercises to leverage confidence? Thanks - people have recommended headspace, I'm downloading now. I do journal and write about this stuff a lot already. Journaling has been helpful over the long haul for recognizing some personality traits that I want to modify, but maybe mediation will help me actually implement them. I know my post emphasizes "performance" a lot, and reading between the lines, this shows how I am still beholden to the idea of performing for others. The times in the past where I've felt super confident and per… | /r/seduction | 14/12/17 03:11 PM
