The dates go well and they've all wanted to go out again That's what matters. Keep doing what works, not what some internet guru said should work. The only caveat is make sure that you are getting ACTUAL results, aka these women are having sex with you at some point. If you're getting lots of dates but never actually getting laid, something is going wrong.

The very nature of pick-up demands that you find suitably attractive women you can interact with and possibly "pick-up". If you can find a way to find a continuous source of eligible women who you can interact with without approaching, good for you, though outside of a few exceptions I can hardly imagine it. The reality is that for most men, if you want real success, you must approach. Pick-up is the art of developing sexual relationships with women - the women are required. As most of us will q…

I went out alone last night for the first time in years This is likely the cause. You're doing something that is essentially new to you and felt uncomfortable/out of place - that's pretty normal. I'd do it 10 times and see how your comfort level changes.

Check out "magic bullets" book by Savoy. You can google the pdf. Treat it as your pick-up textbook.

Strongly agree. Also, most attraction factors for a woman are behavioural - things like social skills, social status, humor, dominance, vibe, etc, are all things that are hard for a woman to gauge in a man across the room. The only thing a woman has to go on outside of this is visual cues, like how you look and what you're wearing, and some other basic things. A man who is not particularly good looking but is very socially savvy, funny, confident, and secure in himself is probably quite attracti…

You need to work your way up. You're trying too much, too fast. Someone with "severe social anxiety" isn't going to suddenly be able to cold approach effectively. It's just not realistic. It's like a guy with a 110lbs guy going to the gym and wondering why he can't bench 315. Doesn't make sense. Start smaller. Instead of trying to walk up and cold open some super hottie, start by joining a club on campus. Try going there, and learn to be more expressive. It doesn't have to have women. Also try m…

To answer your question, I'd like to say it'd be as simple as me opening and I'd like to do that before I leave Spain to keep what momentum I have and so I can feed off of that euphoria. I think it's a very big mistake to try to "feed off" your current state. Success comes from discipline, which comes from doing what you're supposed to do when you're supposed to, NOT trying to feel good to do it. For example, if I want to get bigger muscles then I need a consistent gym schedule, not a "try to go…

Incredibly important. If you are unassertive, it's THE most important social skill you can work on. It's the difference between pushover and confident guy. It's the difference between social anxiety and relaxation.

I'm thinking more about the fact I broke this cycle I was in. Congrats on your step towards success, but be very wary of where you are right now, today. You're euphoric, and that's good, but keep in mind that consistency is what matters. You need to keep at it. Going to the gym once won't change your body; asking for a number once won't change your social life. This is particularly true as you didn't open, but were opened - waiting for another opportunity like this will mean waiting a long time.…

Only a small part of conversation is about the actual words that you use, especially when it comes to flirting/vibing.

The term fuckboy originally meant a male in prison who was often on the receiving end of homosexual rape. Prison bitch, basically. Depending on the crowd it can mean anything, but if it's used commonly it just means "douchebag" or "asshole." PS Women will call you mean names and actually be flirting with you. Or they may hate you. You have to tell from context and their voice.

What I wasn't expecting was the other people who were living in the house. I moved in yesterday and it turns out that this is a 12 people house, 11 of them being girls. I am the only guy. Sounds good. Have fun, meet their friends, take them up on invitations to leave the house, etc. Build social networks with them so that when you leave you've got them and all their friends to hang out with. Also since this is only 2 months, all the usual "don't sleep with your roomates" stuff is off. Do whateve…

It's not that big of a deal. Don't let it hold you back from learning game. That said, you can always just lose the weight and get in shape. That's the easiest path.

I've noticed this can come from two things: 1) Being a virgin or very inexperienced. Virgins tend to have very high standards. That goes away after you lose your virginity. It's a weird catch-22 because you need to lose your virginity to be willing to have sex with less attractive women, but in order to lose your virginity you have to be willing to have sex with less attractive women (usually). 2) Porn and the media. If you are constantly looking at images and videos of women who are wearing a l…

Women, when given the chance, will list many characteristics they want in a man (height, weight, education, wealth), but fundamentally they are attracted to how you behave and the emotions and feelings you create in her as a result of it. Attraction is not a choice. Women cannot choose to NOT be attracted to a man because of his career status if he is acting in a way that is attractive.

What? I don't think you can realistically change this. You're either attracted to them enough to ignore it (if it bothers you), or you're not and you move on. I wouldn't worry about it from a perspective of gaming them, it's irrelevant.

This. Also google "DiCarlo's Escalation Ladder". It's essentially a list of different types of touching, from least intimate to most intimate, so for example from something like shaking hands or putting your hand on her knee or elbow to something closer to sex. The idea is to slowly escalate through the ladder, from least intimate to more and more intimate touching. You use your emotional intelligence and empathy and social skills to read her and see if she's comfortable with it or not. If not, …

Mystery calls it Buyers Remorse. Essentially, you have attraction at the club (or wherever you met), you make out with her heavily, and then you get her number and go home. This is a very bad situation. When you call her the next day, she's no longer in that same state she was when you made out with her in the club. In the club, she was having fun, feeling consequence free and you had slowly built her state (along with attraction) to the point where she was willing to heavily make-out. Now you'r…

exchanging contacts means absolutely nothing if you don't at least make out too Not at all. In fact, making out can actively sabotage you. Heavily making out with a girl and then getting her number is a massive rookie mistake. Read the Mystery Method, it's got some great points/explanations in there.

I'm reading things here like 95% of approaches are creepy/unwanted That's because of how the approach is done. If you study game, are willing to practice and have some emotional awareness, you will be in the 5%. What's the take-home message for socially awkward guys? Improve yourself. Learn game. Learn social skills so you aren't socially awkward.

I know how to behave around others and how to jave (some) fun with them. That's just basic social skills. Higher level social skills is learning to connect with others emotionally, to understand what they are feeling, to share your feelings with them, and to express yourself in an honest way while allowing them to experience who you really are. I don't enjoy nightlife and I don't want to join any clubs that don't interest me just to habe an excuse to be social. I don't approach strangers because…

You have to be social to attract women. You cannot live inside your bedroom, avoiding human contact, and then expect that women (human beings) will be interested and attracted to a man who doesn't like human contact. It's contradictory. Women are people; if you don't like people, it will show when you are dealing with people (women). Dating women, speaking to women, even sex, are all part of socializing, just in a more specific way. If you hate socializing, you will dislike spending time with wo…

It's about focusing on what is happening around you, right now. Most of us are thinking about something else. We're walking to the grocery store, but thinking about what we're going to buy, or what we're going to do tomorrow, etc, not all noticing anything around us as we walk to the grocery store. What color is the house you just walked by? Probably didn't notice. You're not in the present moment, you're thinking about something else. Present in the moment means thinking purely about what is di…

You can probably still take her back to 'your' place. Alternatively, you can go to her place. Keep in mind seduction isn't usually about one-night stands with someone you met that night at a night club, it's usually get number at nightclub (or other busy place where you can do lots of approaches) -> try to convert the number into a meeting (called a "day 2") -> build comfort there, and eventually have sex. If you build enough attraction and comfort, you can have sex at her place.

Why didn't you reply to a post where I actually said something about volunteering Because I'm not going to search through this entire thread for you. I am volunteering and it does nothing for me with regards to women. This thread is all about YOU saying you can't succeed with women because you're not social enough to do it. I'm telling you to become more social. Your own reasoning is that your lack of a social life is holding you back from success with women. Therefore you should be social. If y…

I mean, you could realize that being an anti-social hermit who hides in his bedroom playing league of legends all day isn't a lifestyle that is compatible with succeeding with women. You could then say "Hey, I probably don't have strong social skills, maybe I should work on that,". You could use the advice in this thread to do exactly that, learning to be successful socially and building a social life that you enjoy and find meaningful. You could then use that as a springboard to being social wi…

Yeah, telling you to go out and volunteer and join a sports team = manipulating PUA. Volunteering surely compromises your values. You're looking for excuses to fail. You'll always find one. It's your life, live it how you want, because you're the one who has to live with the consequences.

You're speaking like a bad vs good approach is defined by whether the guy is attractive or not. I am by no means a physically attractive dude. By attractive I didn't mean physically attractive, just attractive to women in general.

You can do this by going on meet-up and finding groups on your area, googling for recreational sport teams or volunteering in a social position (like working the gate at a festival). There are a lot of options.

Then go ahead and fail. Sit at home and jerk off. Let that be your life. Never be successful. Be a loser, a failure with women. Tell everyone you know that you couldn't do it, find a way to say it so that everyone gives you pity. Live an unfulfilling life. It's your choice. The only thing I can say is that it IS possible for you to succeed, but you have to make the choice to take the action to make it happen and to start thinking in more positive ways, hard as that is. If you're determined to fi…

I mean, if you can work 40 hours a week I'm sure you can go out for ~2 hours a week x 3-4 times a week. You have to look at it as a goal, as something that you're going to learn, not as something you're looking to instantly enjoy. You very likely don't enjoy time with strangers BECAUSE you're not good at it - most people don't enjoy things that they aren't good at. That's normal. The answer, however, is to see this is an important priority and to commit to getting good at it by going out 3-4x a …

It's a lot worse than 80/20, in terms of bad vs good approaches. Men who are attractive tend to approach LESS, because they have options already and rarely need to street approach, which is higher risk, whereas that mentally unstable hobo over there has no problem following her out to her car to ask her personal questions. I'd say it's like 95/5.

Excellent post. It took me a long time, as a man, to realize just how low the bar is set. Even conventionally unattractive women are often approached, followed or stalked by weird, creepy guys. I used to assume that women, especially attractive women, were always being approached by cool, interesting, attractive men. I didn't realize that while that happens, it's a very small minority of the approaches they experience, and rather they mostly deal with guys who very awkwardly/aggressively/creepil…

When they are approached well, they don't think of it as an approach. When they are approached badly, they think of it as being approached. Also, 95%+ of approaches are done in an awkward and creepy way men who are either mentally not all there or just have really bad game. Excellent pick-up is invisible to women. It's just "we bumped into each other at the crosswalk, I don't even remember what we said, and we just clicked and both decided to stop and have coffee."

What's an autistic guy to do, then? 1) Stop referring to yourself as autistic. It's a limiting label and self-fulfilling prophesy. I don't care what your doctor said. You can say you have poor social skills right now, but don't say "autistic", because as can be seen from the rest of your post, you're viewing it as a permanent disability that can't be overcome. 2) Work on your game and social skills. There are a ton of creepy guys out there doing exactly this. They aren't part of the pick-up scene, they're just weird and creepy and usually not all there mentally. That's what your relatives are thinking of when they imagine a man coming up to them on the street. When a pick-up goes right, women don't think of it in terms of "he approached me, asked me X questions, and then we went to coffee to talk or I gave him my number." Women would describe a successful pick-up as "I bumped into this guy …

They do, but it's usually not obvious from the male perspective. Things like: 1) Does she talk to you when she doesn't have to? 2) Does she stand or sit near you? 3) Does she smile when talking to you? 4) Does she touch you at all, even "accidentally" on the arm? Things like these are subtle if you're not looking for them but quite obvious once you are. Depends on what you mean by don't like. If you mean that they don't interest you but are otherwise acting normally, then just be polite and move on. This isn't really a PUA situation, it's just a general social/life skill thing. Be polite, engage if you want to be very polite, then move on. If they're acting aggressively towards you, then you need to be assertive. Google AMOG techniques and you'll find a lot written on it.
