Hah that’s how my custody case felt tbh. At one point the judge was even arguing why we should split up the siblings so that mom gets one and dad gets one, and I was like ?????. But yes as a man, only winning after 10s of thousands of dollars spent on lawyer fees. As a woman, all she did was stand in front of the judge and act sad and it took them 3 years to be like, oh yeah maybe this child failing and getting their schools switched 7x and getting expelled isn’t so great after all.

My ex did the same but only for the medical costs (refusing to pay half). I just recorded everything she didn’t pay and threw it all in with my CS modification request. My lawyer seems pretty confident she will have to cough up 500 dollars but we will see, I doubt she will pay. Did you file all those contempt charges?

Mine is working 12 hrs a week 🥲. I feel your pain. Any time I ask her to pay her share of medical costs she tells me she can’t afford it because she works part time now. Meanwhile my SO (stepparent) is here paying half the extracurricular costs, medical, clothing, etc when she shouldn’t have to just to subsidize my ex taking care of a new kid. Crazy. Mine also is convinced I have a secret stash of cash haha. Exes amiright.

Apparently that works for lowering child support 🥲 I spoke to several lawyers prior to retaining the one I have and they all told me no court is going to impute her income if she has a young child even if it’s from another man. They claimed as a man I could make the same argument to lower support but smells like bullshit.

Even with a half sister? She is taking pics of the two of them (6 years apart) constantly and am positive she is going to say he needs to move back with her so he can have a relationship with his half sister.

I would but she is going to try and get my younger son back in a couple years when my older graduates (no idea why she would do this to our younger as it would require him to switch schools and cities into a worse area) so now is the only time I can try to recollect some of the money she has not been supporting for the kids :(

Sorry what was the outcome of the eval? Like did the guy say she can’t work? My ex is claiming she can’t work due to a 3 year old, also not my kid, also lives with her baby daddy. My lawyer wants to do a vocational consult but I’m skeptical how helpful it will be if she’s claiming she can’t work due to someone else’s kid.

I can’t either, finally get a final judgment and bam she files for a modification literally a month later asking to take the one weekend I get a month, all my monday holidays and my summer break weeks.
