Thx. Appreciate the comment. Just found this sub. Hoping for a little support as I have no family to turn to anymore, I’m on my own. Thx for the suggestions.

Bit simplistic and minimizing the average intelligence of men. We all realize when it dwindles (you’d have to be an idiot not to)…the issue is both sides contribute to that. And if one side isn’t willing to step up, the other would be foolish to extend further. That’s Missing in your comment. But that is the common formula. Women must make an effort as well, they aren’t immune to that. When they don’t, is what it is. We aren’t butlers or resource centers, we are people too.

If this is what is happening I would decrease the effort heavily and start to put yourself first. And when she starts to ask for explanations just tell her to “bring it up to the counselor”…

Just separated. Gotten a couple phone numbers, goes nowhere and I reflect that is for the best because they aren’t really up to the standard anyways. The temporary patches don’t work (at least for me)…I guess it just takes time. I’m one month into it now.

Yeah. Step one is the hardest. Accept and stop trying. Super important step.

Yeah. I’m going through it. Just found this sub. It’s really weird to be so dedicated to providing for your family that you always come third, etc after your child and partner. then all of a sudden there is no family and you just sit there like wtf? It’s been hard for me…she has a new man (overlapped it too, guess he is rich)….just tough spiritually. And you never get acknowledgment on how much sacrifice it took to provide. Appears she doesn’t see that at all.

Wow. I’m going through it now. I thought I had it bad, this seems like the ultimate nightmare. I am very glad that you came out the other side sane and intact. Congratulations for that. You should be proud of that.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
