I've yet to meet a mofo that's happily married. Content being miserable definitely. Happy? No.

Let us know how it goes. I'm not a party guy so I see myself going and not talking to anyone. 😂

Its the ole I love you but not in love with you. Get a lawyer and start the process and don't look back. You'll be happier.

No real updates. I filed for divorce and now just the akwardness of living in the same house. We don't talk but at cordial.

Dude weve been roomies raising kids for 16 years. Went to marriage counseling after like the first year. Been married 20. Should of done this a looong time ago. We'd of both moved on and probably been happier and I'd be losing a whole let less of my retirement. Don't wait just do it.

Get a lawyer and file for divorce. The longer you wait the more of your retirement and everything else she's going to get.

Dude your lawyer screwed you or something.

I understand this. Mine are teenagers and they do their own thing anyway. We separated for a month. Week at home week gone and the first night alone I was sad briefly but after that I was fine. Now I can't wait to have some freedom and alone time once on a while.

Better spend it on the house because if it's just sitting in the account she'll get half.

Im doing my best to keep the house but need to see how child support and alimony end up and for how long. Not sure where you are but the housing market where I am is stupid high right now. That's another thing that could kill it for me would be the appraisal. I'm handy though and can do a lot. With that being said if I can't keep the house I'll most likely be in a condo. Just because I can do the work doesn't mean I enjoy it. The kids also want one of us to keep the house and is the real reason …

What you need to do is get a lawyer ASAP and save anything and everything.

I only stayed because I didn't want to see my kids half time. I should of done it years and years ago.

They see all the happy couples on Facebook and don't realize those are the mofos who are the least happy and on the brink of divorce too. Mine said in therapy that she sees all of the happy couples with these fairytale relationships and that's what she wants. Who doesn't. But I know a lot of couple and can't say I know many who are happy.

I was engaged a long long time ago and I got the ring back. Pawn shops and jewelry shops didn't offer crap for it. The place I got it would give what I paid for it to use toward another ring at double the value or more. So my soon to be ex wife got a ring double the value of my ex fiance. 😆

Talk to the lawyer and get all their advice and do exactly what they say.

I figure I'd be going for a lot of evening walks as well. I walk a lot anyway but more so to stay out of the house as much as possible when's she's home.

I'm planning on staying in the basement or out of the house as much as possible.

I don't plan on moving out at all. The plan is to buy her out of the house. She doesn't think she can afford it so we'll see how hard I get screwed in alamony and child support. My.lawyer doesn't think I'll get hit too bad. Thankfully she works full time.

This is exactly what I'm expecting. I texted her a question today and totally takes it out of context. I'm dreading the next six months more than anything ever.

If you don't suspect and wrong doing or hiding if money I wouldn't. Lawyers probably just looking for more billable hours.

Guys at work said to me last week that they needed to find me someone. We haven't even filed yet. I told them I'm not at all interested in finding anyone. I just want to focus on my kids and my hobbies and enjoy alone time for a while. Lol

I've said this for years. They're gone before the kids usually. Lol

Yeah and the ones I talked to acted like they were going to do so much but in my state it's 50/50 no fault. So there's not a whole lot we'd even be fighting over except maybe some of my retirement. They were just being full of themselves to try and sell me on them.

I interviewed four. Two men and two women lawyer and by far the two women were my top choices. Right to the point. The men were like used car salesmen and slimy feeling to me.

Been trying to find an app that was good for finding friends with similar interests and not much luck. I got Meetup but it's sort of dead in my area. What apps are you using?

If I ever decide to find another partner after this it'll be someone we'll out of menopause. 😂. I'll be picking up chicks at the local senior center.

Oh yeah I think it's three things. Perimenepause, GLP1 and depression. She refuses to take meds for depression. She used to years ago but not she is just trying to self medicated with vitamins I guess.

I need my wife wasn't wearing hers full time a while ago. I never said anything I just stopped as well. Lol It a little weird because I didn't realize how much I fidgeted with it until I stopped wearing it.
/r/Divorce_Men25/05/26 02:35 PM

Good luck! She said two weeks ago she wouldn't go after my retirement but now she's saying she meant my current retirement only but would go for my IRA which is retirement from two past jobs and worth more than my current. Lol. I thought there was a small chance we'd be able to do it using one lawyer but im definitely going to have to hire my own.
/r/Divorce_Men25/05/26 02:33 PM

Thanks me too! I mean I want the best for her too and to be happy. I hope she gets her mind straight soon for her sake and for the kids. Living with Dr Jeykl and Mr Hyde hasn't been fun for any of us. Walking on egg shells is mentally exhausting.
