| 12 | How about the right in law to bodily integrity at birth while we're at itWait until you hear about falling behind on child support as a a man, they spike your credit with an unauthorized “personal loan”, take your passport and drivers license and take half your pay for 18+ years. | /r/MensRights | 08/10/24 10:33 PM |
| 1 | A dad reported he is going to jail for two months, because he is ordered to pay a large sum in child support monthly, but is unemployed, and he is unable to pay.It is amazing how resilient the human soul is to loss and heartbreak and devastation. I appreciate your kindness and empathy. I’m 35 and in my first year of full time college so keeping up my grades is added to the list as well lol I hope you have a kinder life than I have had. | /r/MensRights | 27/08/24 06:22 PM |
| 9 | A dad reported he is going to jail for two months, because he is ordered to pay a large sum in child support monthly, but is unemployed, and he is unable to pay.I spent a year in Afghanistan fighting against the Talibans terrorism to come home and have domestic terrorists behind a bench systematically disassemble what little of my life I had left. | /r/MensRights | 24/08/24 11:04 AM |

They don’t care. divorce Corp.. (is literally a movie made about my court) is a great watch for anybody who doesn’t think the system could do that without knowing. They know. | 36 | A dad reported he is going to jail for two months, because he is ordered to pay a large sum in child support monthly, but is unemployed, and he is unable to pay.I’m in my 22 of 24months of probation after serving 11 of 72 days in jail for “contempt” for being unable to pay my child support as a 100% disabled veteran. My yearly income is 48k but my yearly child support is 33.6k leaving me 15k per year to survive on. My ex wife makes 17k per month… before child support. THEY DONT CARE! Here’s showing every time I was forced into court (it doesn’t let me see back to the start in 2012 there’s been so many) : 72 court appearances, not including mediations, c… | /r/MensRights | 24/08/24 12:03 AM |
| 3 | Your body your choice, my money my choiceWhat do you call a pay increase for less time? That’s literally a cash incentive?! If I told you you’d get $100 for 50/50 or $2,000 for 100% custody. Do you think that’s a cash incentive? Gives you about a 1900 reasons to make up shit | /r/MensRights | 23/08/24 08:22 PM |
| 12 | Your body your choice, my money my choiceThat’s the exact issue. 50/50 makes child support minimal as is. So it’s advantageous for a mom to want 75/25 80/20 90/10… and 100/0 because those are pay raises. There’s a CASH INCENTIVE to limit the amount of time a father has with his kids. Not only for the mom, but for the lawyers (more hours billed for a more contentious case) , and the court system as well as DCSS each get a percentage cut to transfer money between a father and mother. The more dad pays, the more the state collects. | /r/MensRights | 23/08/24 09:27 AM |
| 8 | Hey👋,I am new to this community. As a woman,I hope to understand men's problems better and help them as much as possible. If you have any suggestions or advice feel free to reply.I would also like to learn more about what you are fighting forI think a big issue is the weaponization of the family courts by moms who abuse the system. Child support is 1 arm of that system but It is based on what the other arm decided as time share. The amount of child support that is based on time in cases that have been unfairly determined based on predetermined standard operating procedures is why most men have an issue “paying child support”. Another is the overall corruption of the family law system. The family law courts need a complete overhaul b… | /r/MensRights | 05/08/24 02:21 PM |
| 3 | I’m on Ca Family Laws equivalent of death-row.I feel with you bro. I love your love for your daughter. While I know those future days with our babies aren’t promised, I hope they are afforded to us both in due time and our pain isn’t for nothing. If you need to talk dm me. I can’t help much as I can’t even help myself, but I can listen to your story if you feel you ever want to tell it. There needs to be reform for fathers. But I again don’t know where to start in changing decade old laws | /r/MensRights | 04/07/24 10:02 PM |

| 19 | I’m on Ca Family Laws equivalent of death-row.It’s not an ask. Thank you. Sometimes just the acknowledgment of wrong doing is enough to go one more day. I had, over 12 years I’ve been bankrupted into representing myself, my case is either too complex for pro bono or so complex, it’s out of my budget to hire. I’m in that no man’s land of fathers who lost and have to hope their children understand years later what happened. | /r/MensRights | 04/07/24 03:18 AM |
| 1 | If there’s not a police report AND OR pending charges filed at MINIMUM; Family Court Judges should have a Judiciary Obligation to dismiss the case in favor of the falsely accusedEach of these court appearances, (some with legal counsel representation and some only being able to represent myself) created a fundamental legal, physical and mental, shift in the direction of my life. | 23 | There are moves to end no fault divorce, and it'll save a lot of men from divorce r*peMy no fault divorce wasn’t the problem. Being mentally and emotionally abused through 15 years of family courts was. Being held hostage to narcissist moms filing new motions of abuse every 6 months demanding full and complete control while simultaneously collecting ½ + of my income to fund their war machine. Being a father going through a divorce that was tied to custody through family courts in Sacramento did more psychological damage to me than a year of near daily combat in Afghanistan did. | 2 | 11 years of Family courts.I stopped paying and at the time they weren’t able to garnish my VA wages. | 12 | 11 years of Family courts.I fought both. In a lot of ways as long as I could in the means I had to do it with. I hit multiple IEDs in Afghanistan. We saw combat multiple times per day over the span of almost a year, with that you can imagine the amount of pain and anguish to losing people I cared about. But that trauma and the subsequent ptsd I received from that year, pales in comparison to the experience of having your children there one day and gone the next. Then back. Then gone again. Then back. Repeatedly for years… | /r/MensRights | 11/07/23 03:22 AM |
| 44 | 11 years of Family courts.—-FAMILY COURT 2019- 2020— After years of VA counseling and medications I opted for the state legal medical marijuana approach. (Marijuana has been recognized in California since 1988 for medicinal use, and in 2020 it became recreational legal.) I consulted my VA doctors about it and a plan was made to to not use any prescribed drugs that would be effected by my medicinal cannabis use. I had taken my health into my own hands and for the first time in years, I was pain free. At this time in 2020 … | /r/MensRights | 11/07/23 02:20 AM |
| 22 | 11 years of Family courts.—-THE DIVORCE—- In 2012 after a rocky 4 years of marriage with 2 kids and out of the military with an honorable discharge and a future 100% disability rating due to injuries received in Afghanistan, I decided to end my marriage. My father-in-law was an attorney in the state of California and had been defrauding his clients in a “forensic loan audit” scheme against predatory lending of the 2008 housing crash. The final straw was him asking his daughter(my wife) to store dirty cash in our home so … | /r/MensRights | 11/07/23 02:19 AM |

Child support debt is the only debt that people can still be sent to jail for, which overwhelming affects black fathers and their children.I’ve had a pro bono lawyer, a few actually. The one who I felt actually did the most to help me over the now 12 year battle, told me my case was a battle of attrition. It won’t end until someone gave up. It was a battle of resources. With the state demanding I give her child support, while she was spending 2x my child support, monthly, on lawyers to fight against me. She had a bigger war chest and as long as the money was going into the courts/ lawyers/ private mediators, they were willing to ke… | /r/MensRights | 05/07/23 12:00 AM |

Child support debt is the only debt that people can still be sent to jail for, which overwhelming affects black fathers and their children.I was jailed in December for child support. It’s not “ failure to pay child support” that one’s jailed for. It’s “contempt of a judges order to pay child support” which is contempt of court. I was hit with 17 felony’s for contempt of court. I was ordered to serve 75 days in jail and 2 years probation. My children were forcefully taken from me by the courts at mothers request because I was a medical marijuana patient.
