Can you admit that you also like having the last word or at least the attention? Because you’re doing the same thing. I am both confident and have insecurities, I think that’s a common human experience.

Because we’re having a nice chat, you’re awfully responsive and that’s something I typically enjoy in others.

Then why are you replying?

Does it bug you that I have a degree? Seems like it. And guess what? my job is fun and I don’t have a boss :-) pretty sure you’re the one making assumptions, as you’ve already assumed I didn’t go to college, that I’m lying about my degree and that I don’t pay taxes. This is not the only work I have done, do or will do. Also, I think you’re a bit confused. All work is selling your body under capitalism. Someone is taking your time and energy. We have something in common! I also work from home and it is a real job :-) I graduated from university with a bachelors’ degree, but even if I hadn’t, there would be nothing wrong with that. Sigh, it’s work, you silly man (who’s also spending all his time on Reddit)Try not to be too hypocritical. I’m not gonna waste my time stalking your page, like you’re doing mine; you’re showing yourself enough with these comments.

Op clearly intends on responding, they were asking about the response itself, not if they should send one. I don’t see how sending a mature response from someone’s polite rejection is lacking self-respect. As far as your rant about she would date someone if it was “someone else”, is a pretty wild assumption, creating fake scenarios isn’t helpful.

She gave the time to be honest, I don’t see anything wrong with him replying with “no problem/thanks for being honest”. One text is not a waste of time . You sound bitter
