2	Sarah Silverman claims unequal pay for being a woman; comedy club reveals the truth. I went to Oddball Comedy Tour last summer. Silverman's bit was a thinly veiled point about feminism, which is fine but not that funny. Schumer's bit was about how she fucked a pro wrestler (haha, I guess?). Those two are the most popular female comedians and they don't match up in the same show next to Louis CK, who makes any mundane subject funny and Hannibal Burress, who had the best stuff at that show, in my opinion. 1	Why you should listen to stand-up comedy You would do well to watch classic sketch comedy like Monty Python's Flying Circus and Kids in the Hall. They blow all but a few sitcoms out of the water and make improv comedy like SNL seem flat by comparison. I assume you've seen them but The Simpsons and South Park are worth mentioning. 3	Why is the exclusionary "PyLadies" group allowed to hold ladies only meetings at PyCon. This seems to violate the Code of Conduct against exclusionary speech. They probably are all reasonable people but this may just be a reactionary effort to the Adria Richards Donglegate. In some states seat belts in cars are enforced by law but culturally we support circumcision. Does not compute. I personally agree with you that if someone wants one they should be able to get it.
