1	Can't get over my race This is very anecdotal, but here goes anyway. Being a native dutch speaker (I'm Belgian), I have a semi-thick accent when speaking french. I can speak French fairly well and I understand nearly anything that is said to me in that language. I always hated my accent and it has made me avoid having to speak French.
