I started punishing myself by not going to the gym on days where I don't get enough sleep and get 8+ hours on average 6 nights per week. The hardest part about this habit is starting it, because of pressure from friends/work/school combined with the fact that it's not instant gratification. From what I've observed in myself and my friends who do this, it takes about 2 weeks of a regular sleeping habit to start reaping the benefits. Try getting to bed before 10 every day for 2 weeks and you'll se…

So the main point is that you take part in the games by recognizing and watching them. This seems like more of a passive approach, does it not?

Money should not be the only incentive for part time work of any kind in college. The kind of work you are describing builds your resume or helps you get into a field. Work that doesn't benefit you similarly should be avoided.

I disagree with not taking a job being bad advice in college. The amount of money you make working usually pales in comparison to the debt you will be racking up. Time would be better spent doing something beneficial relative to the field you want to eventually get in to after college.

You should make a post along the lines of this comment; I love it.
