Pls enjoy the surprise of a man not knowing how to cohabitate and making your life miserable bc he leaves piss on the seat or whatever 😭

OP, your title and body do not match each other OR what you’re debating in the comments. Please correct your post and repost accordingly.

Men want slaves pt 4838274
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 12:56 PM

Happy to provide sources, but your post addressed psychological impact of this so please address that in your reply to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 12:39 PM

Psychologically optimal? Let me get this straight: I get to deal with constant judgement from others about my relationship. My spouse will likely be dead before I’m even retired. I’m either part of the minority of women attracted to men their dad’s age, or I just have to deal with not being attracted to my life partner. If I have children with him, I get to raise them alone once he dies (likely when they’re teens) and they will never know their father as adults. All of this in exchange for some …

Thanks to feminist progress in society, I no longer have to marry a man in order to have a roof over my head and food on the table, and I don’t need his signature on my bank account. I want a man in my life. My incentive is mutual love, joy, and a life well lived shared with someone I care about. Average or “lame” is fine, as long as I enjoy being around him and he makes my life better overall.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 07:14 PM

I do not see children through the fallacy that a switch randomly flips one day and they are suddenly able to understand everything.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 06:00 PM

You seem to be missing the nuance of my comment. I agree with you that children can make decisions. Good decisions require life experience and understanding of the world that children and teens don’t have. Once you are able to understand the choice you have capacity to consent. 5-8 year olds would do nothing but eat candy and never clean their room if given the choice. Those are decisions, but they lack an awareness of their best interests (healthy body, clean space) that drives them to act sole…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 05:38 PM

So unrealistic and vague, except I’ve experienced it myself? It’s easy to understand consent under duress once you’ve been in that situation.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 05:18 PM

The concept of consent does not apply to someone who lacks the cognitive ability to understand consent or what they’re consenting to. Someone in a vegetative state cannot consent to having their ass wiped by their caretaker. By your logic, that’s a problem. By my logic, that’s simply how it is because they don’t have the ability to consent, but their best interests are being prioritized. A parent has their children’s best interests in mind. The child doesn’t even understand their own interests i…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 05:16 PM

What does that mean? I’m assuming you mean she appears to be happier or more receptive to your suggestions?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 05:11 PM

Hm, then it seems every parent ever should be in prison. That logic totally makes sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 05:10 PM

We’re talking about homework and clean rooms, not sex. When someone lacks the capacity to consent (to get vaccines, or clean their rooms, etc) a trusted guardian is the one that “consents” for them. A key component of child development is learning to understand the concept consent and apply it in graduating stages (don’t kiss me please, I don’t want to eat that, etc). Adults have capacity and understand consent. The OP is about sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 05:09 PM

The whole point of this sub is attempting to debate while speaking in generalizations. Don’t engage in contentless rhetoric.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 05:03 PM

I accept that answer. Do you have any other examples besides growing closer/developing a stronger bond?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 05:02 PM

Can you provide specific examples of “change” you’ve seen that prompted you to ask for sex again after someone told you no?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 04:57 PM

Consent under duress is about violation of bodily autonomy. Children are not consenting under duress when their parent asks them to clean their room or their teacher asks them to do their homework. If we’re getting specific, society has largely decided that children are not capable of informed consent because they don’t have the cognitive ability to be informed.

I had a “sexually adventurous” phase before my current LTR. My values never changed, but my goals have. Initially, I wanted to explore and understand what I want out of my physical relationships and what habits/values of potential partners work for me. I was very open to a LTR, but that’s harder to find when you don’t know your own criteria. I made lots of “mistakes,” which sucked in the moment but ultimately taught me a lot about my own boundaries and what I want out of a partner. Eventually, I…

> many people I think you mean men, if we’re speaking in generalizations. > hypersexualized social environment What does this mean to you? As someone who touches grass (ie socializes a lot in public third spaces), I do not connect at all with the idea that most or even many social environments are hypersexualized. Dating and flirting does happen in most third spaces, but it hasn’t “taken over” in any sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 03:52 PM

Removing feelings ≠ removing respect. Hookup oriented people largely still care about being respected but are obviously uninterested in feelings/a desire for meaningful connection. Just my 2¢

Your post seems to explain general social disconnect in highly urbanized areas due to less “community” in the traditional sense, which I could agree with. However, urban areas are getting much better about creating and centering third spaces where new kinds of community are emerging—adults tied together not by children or religion, but by shared interests and belief systems. Hobby groups, workout groups, and the kink community all come to mind. In addition, I fail to see how a lack of traditiona…

This will inevitably devolve into shrieking about no true scotsman. But I cannot believe men waste their precious days on this earth with a woman that actually believes “my money is mine and your money is ours” regardless if she identifies as a feminist. THAT is borderline financial abuse but maybe my financial planner tendencies are coloring my perspective

This is a personal theory, but I think approaching men makes them think I am much more willing to quickly escalate sexually than I really am. They (falsely) assume that I’m looking for a hookup or am an easy lay just because I approached, and suddenly they treat me very differently from a woman they had to approach themselves. They think they’ve passed the “test” and are in the home stretch to get puss, and drop all manners and pretenses and suddenly I’m being assaulted. Idiots.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/26 08:15 PM
4

Some of them were, most of them weren’t. Someone I already knew sexually assaulted me, then tried to claim I wanted it. Just to clarify, are you blaming me for my own assault if I had cold-approached?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/26 05:59 PM
3

My experience is extremely common. I can and do tell other women to not follow in my footsteps. I only approach men because I’m very confident in my boundaries, ability to say no, and can defend myself well if needed, which makes my experience safer than the average woman’s.

I can see that it would be better for men and I concede that point. As a woman that does approach men, I have had my approach bite me in the ass several times: - man assumes I want to sleep with him immediately, and I was sexually assaulted within 30 seconds of greeting him. - man says something insane that turns me off, he proceeds to get belligerent or aggressive when I try to nope out of the interaction. - I did not see man was with woman, woman runs over screaming at me and ready to fight. -…

The consequences for being bad when you’re an adult aren’t being beaten, hit, slapped, or spanked. Why do you think hurting children is an acceptable way to teach “consequences” instead of creating more situationally appropriate consequences (or in some cases, allowing natural consequences to occur)? There is a middle ground between physical abuse and permissive parenting. Good fucking god.

I could agree that MOST folks with unrealistic standards are being influenced by social media, but this is a tale as old as time tbh. I have spoken to lots of “single by choice” folks that (when pressed) admit they know they’ll never find a partner that will meet their impossibly high standards so they don’t even bother dating. There can be a degree of self awareness that exists outside of being blindly brainwashed.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 05:02 PM
10

So? They can choose singleness over having a partner most would consider “out of their league.” I would prefer they remain single over making a partner they don’t truly like miserable.

I’m not supporting or advocating for shit. I made a comment under the off-topic automod about how problems in relationships caused by power imbalances can be addressed with proactive communication and pointed out how kinksters (objectively weird people) do it well all the time. What are *you* talking about?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 07:29 PM
1

The purpose of communicating about it is to create a plan (boundaries, goals, guardrails, systems for conflict management) to mitigate the potential harm of the power imbalance. Just talking about it and acknowledging it is step one—there are more steps afterwards to actually address it. If someone is mentally impaired to the point where they are unable to understand or negotiate boundaries, it is unethical to date them. Same thing with age gaps, which is why being under 25 and dating with a hug…

Feminist here—not true? There are different kinds of feminism and each kind has their own opinion on what’s oppressive AND how to meet that challenge/deal with it. My brand of feminism recognizes power imbalances as potentially oppressive, but the harms of it can be mitigated by discussing it and putting in boundaries or making changes to the relationship to make it healthier for all parties involved. Yknow, like grown fucking adults.

Divorce is quite a leap, as is accusing your partner of infidelity with no clear proof by questioning paternity. We can agree to disagree.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 07:45 PM
15

Not for me, no. If you think you have the “capacity to be wrong” in trusting me not to pass off another man’s child as yours, we’re not compatible. If you’re sure you want a paternity test for every child you have, I would have that conversation alongside the “do we wanna have kids together” conversation super early on. Make sure expectations are clear and everyone is on the same page long before a human child exists and suffers the consequences of their father’s insecurity.

OP is asking what I think the punishment should be. In the hypothetical scenario where my husband thinks I cheated on him and tried to pass off another man’s child as his, the trust is so far gone I don’t want to attempt repair. Pressure to have “consensual” sex often results in coercion and consent under duress, which means it stops being fully consensual. I wouldn’t go as far as calling that marital rape but it sure as shit isn’t healthy or fair.

You are either misinterpreting me or misunderstanding me. I’m preferring to American prenups, which you have already admitted to knowing almost nothing about. I am not referring to any moral or value system, I’m talking about simple financial common sense to not burn free money because of pride or whatever other nonsense men come up with. It’s dumb to reject free money unless you already have too much, in which case you would not be getting alimony in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/26 08:16 PM
5

Nope, but the law was still written without gendered language and applies to both sexes just the same. Men get alimony these days too now, yay!
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/26 07:59 PM
7

Do not call me sister, thanks. It doesn’t really make sense to have a take if you don’t even understand what prenups do—how do you know if a prenup is relevant when you don’t know what situations they’re meant for? You do not sound American based on your comment, you should probably stop having opinions on legal documents that don’t exist in your culture/country of origin that you know little about. > a man will typically not request to take alimony …source? Genuinely, where is that information …
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/26 07:57 PM
12

Oh. Well, if you don’t know how prenups work then I recommend against having strong opinions on them. There are lots of online resources that can teach you what they accomplish and who they protect. If men reject alimony, that’s…on them. I can’t imagine why someone would set court awarded money on fire, unless they’re stupid and their pride gets the better of them in most life situations.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/26 07:05 PM

Alimony and divorce laws are meant to protect the non-breadwinning spouse from destitution while they get back on their feet. Thanks to the patriarchy (wonder who came up with that), it’s been *men* who are the breadwinners and thus are not in need of financial protection.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/26 07:02 PM

If the amount of the assets isn’t higher than the cost of lawyers for two people for the duration of prenup negotiations, a prenup isn’t relevant. How big of a wage difference is enough to warrant a prenup in your opinion? In the event of a divorce, a prenup with a significant wage difference would have carve outs to protect the *lower* earning spouse, not the other way around. > not socially acceptable The courts don’t take that into consideration. This is true in community property states, which there are only 9 of. In community property states, spouses are equal co-owners of all assets and income earned. This does not inherently prevent a husband from controlling access to banking accounts. In equitable distribution states (the other 41), whoever’s name is on the paycheck is who controls the funds even if both spouses have the same obligation to support their household. In these states, it’s culturally more common to have “your money, my…

At its core, blackpill is a profoundly anti-social ideology that would sow distrust, resentment, and fear amongst society if spread widely. The social contract breaks down when people assume the worst of each other. Also, what is the end-goal of blackpillers? Her not wanting to be approached in those spaces doesn’t mean she’s incompatible with you. In my experience, those women want to be friends with men before the chance of anything else is there. My original point stands—women aren’t a monolith and it’s a losing strategy to assume they all want the same thing or to be approached/not be approached in the same way.

Nobody is “forcing” you to have children, it’s entirely on the man’s inability to refocus his goals to be more age-appropriate. When women don’t get to have kids, they simply miss out and move on from that stage of their lives. How are men unable to do the same?

It’s almost like…women aren’t a monolith and there is no One True Way to attract them. What makes one woman happy will offend another. What one woman seeks in a partner is a red flag to another. Think about your values and habits and what your ideal woman’s values and habits are—craft your strategy around that. If you’re a gym head, hitting on women at the gym might actually be a good strategy for you.

You seemed to be leaning towards the point that a paternity test can help identify health issues in an infant, it doesn’t and I want to be sure we agree on that. Health testing is never a waste, I feel that’s obvious even for “non fatal things” like lifelong deafness. I think OP has a point that an extra test that doesn’t do anything for the infant of the health adds unnecessary costs to birth. They should be freely available imo, but not mandatory.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/25 08:58 PM
1

The birth defects listed are either extremely obvious upon birth or are easily caught with other testing. None of those birth defects require a paternity test. The article you linked states what tests are needed and none of them are genetic.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/25 08:51 PM

Genetic health testing is already done by this point. That’s a common test during pregnancy.

I’ve long abandoned this debate and resigned myself to quiet schadenfreude when men run into this wall with most women they meet. There are objective and subjective traits that are deeply unappealing. Having an addiction issue and being so shy you can’t hold a conversation are objective barriers to social connection. Being an asshole conservative or being too tall (in my case) are unappealing subjective traits that some women would love. Focus on fixing objective barriers first
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/25 05:38 PM

My hot take is that women do fetishize height. It’s a nonsexual trait they’ve sexualized and pursue with a strange frenzy. I’m not one of them, but yeah, it’s a fetish to only be attracted to a very specific physical attribute. Race fetishes, disability fetishes, hair fetishes all play into this, people are just ashamed to label it as such.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/25 12:10 AM

Find someone who is attracted to shorter men exclusively? You’re entering fetish territory.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/25 12:06 AM

You are more likely to be struck by lightning than you are to be falsely accused of rape. 1/3 of women experience a sexual assault in their lives. A bit of a false equivalency, yeah?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/25 09:36 PM

You don’t “use” your dentist, or your doctor or your masseuse or your physical therapist. You visit someone that provides a service. You use an object.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/25 02:41 PM

You don’t get to ignore the extremely negative outcomes that are (VERY) possible when seeking out sex as a woman. It’s well known that a huge percentage of women experience sexual assault or rape in their lives. I don’t think that outweighs the “privilege” of men wanting to fuck us.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 05:31 PM

I think cheating especially serial cheating is a form of abuse—at the bare minimum, you’re exposing your partner to someone else’s body (and they clearly don’t care about boundaries). You’re welcome to disagree but that’s a line for me

What’s great about self love and self acceptance is that it’s entirely internal. It doesn’t matter what other people say or think about you or loving yourself or being happy with who you are, all that matters is how you feel. Self worth and self image can and should be entirely independent of the validation you receive from others. This serves two purposes: Your self worth is entirely self generated and cannot be damaged by others not showing interest You aren’t shoeboxing yourself into the life or partner you think you deserve based on your …

“Wah, women don’t want to be on birth control anymore.” “Wah, condoms can get holes poked in them on purpose” You are paranoid to the point of mental illness. If you can’t find one of the millions and millions of women that use condoms or hormonal birth control, perhaps you were just not meant to have sex. Bummer.

I was raised to only ever rely on myself. I’m very independent and pay for all my own bills, and some of my partners’ needs as well. I love being a provider/“wearing the pants”/making decisions for the both of us—he’s happy to contribute as needed and loves the dynamic. Type A/provider women are out there, but in my experience many men strongly dislike my desire to lead and either fight me on it or leave.

The only guy I’ve made wait was an age gap situation. I was 22 and he was 28 and I wanted to sus out his intentions and vibe. It paid off and I had a pretty good short term relationship (~6 months) with him. Every other guy I’ve either stopped seeing them as soon as I realized I didn’t want to continue or escalated within 2-3 dates to great success.

We have a very different definition of “life.” If my dad was laying on his couch and wasn’t breathing, could not feed himself, speak, sleep, or move, I would assume he’s dead. Human development begins at conception, but until a fetus can survive without using the resources of its mother’s body it makes no sense to call it “living” in any practical sense. they could have chosen adoption I find it incredible you’re arguing that one of the most poorly funded, overworked, overcrowded and abusive sys…

I’m talking about children—they are alive and are actively suffering from parents that never wanted them and had no other choice. Pro forced birth women are generally much more concerned with their welfare, whereas pro forced birth men literally gloat about how miserable the new moms life is with a child “because she couldn’t keep her legs shut.” Fetuses are not children and have no rights.

Our society and workforce has changed a lot since the 60s. It was structured to revolve around men, now it’s largely egalitarian and there are much more equal workforce participation rates. If all the fertile women slowly disappeared from the workforce over the next decade due to falling pregnant and having to care for children it would be economically devastating—who will fill the jobs women left open? There aren’t enough men to do so.

Innate biological differences have created this problem. I support a woman’s right to choose an abortion or to carry the child—I support a man’s right to have at least some opinion in the matter and support his right to abort his parental rights. However, financial abortion is unfeasible without straining our social safety nets. It’s more unfair to the child to deny them financial safety than it is unfair to the father to force him to provide financially for said child. If men could carry and wo…

Fathers must pay additional taxes to the government if he is not already paying child support. The government is run with our money, it only makes sense that the parents of the spawn are financially responsible for them. they are not entitled to be treated equally by their father Yes they are, both in the eyes of the law and in the eyes of Western values. I’m sorry your dad didn’t love you or whatever but that doesn’t mean our society should operate that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/24 03:52 PM

If a woman wants to keep the child, she would be responsible for part of the financial burden and all of the childcare. I don’t see how that is opting out of all responsibility, in fact quite the opposite.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/24 03:37 PM
7

This is quite literally medieval. All this would do is dramatically increase single parenthood, child food and housing insecurity, child mortality, overall crime rates, and strain the social safety nets to their breaking point. Children are entitled to food, housing, quality schooling and healthcare. Why bother with civilized society if we refuse to protect our most vulnerable? So men can get their nut?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/24 03:36 PM
2

You’re confusing their reasoning. These men think abortion is wrong in all cases and want women to be responsible for preventing pregnancy by “closing their legs.” I think men should be allowed to opt out of parenthood, but not out of financial responsibility for their care. Children don’t deserve to suffer because their father wasn’t ready to be a dad.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/24 03:21 PM

That would not be a society, we would be no better than animals at that point. Children are completely defenseless and to punish them for the perceived sins of their parents is inhuman.

This is my own personal experience interacting with conservative men and women directly. People aren’t going to stop having sex because you think it’s shameful. This has been proven over and over and over throughout all kinds of societies throughout all of human history—you cannot scare or shame most humans into not doing something that feels good and we’re hardwired to do. Women having the ability to choose when they have children is a pretty critical component of a successful industrialized society. If women lose access to that, our workforce and societal structure would be decimated within a decade. Also, this is just as much about men being able to fuck whenever they want. Mental illness is a normal human experience. That doesn’t mean it shouldnt be challenged and addressed. Valuing sheer volume of attention over something that would actually be good for you is a sign you have thought patterns that need to be addressed. I don’t think there’s any one “correct” way to show love to each other. I would find a love note flattering and romantic, but I would consider a freshly drawn bath and a new candle just as flattering and romantic. Love languages are mostly debunked but acts of service (both giving and receiving) really resonates with me. My partner knows he is loved and vice versa—so what if we’ve never exchanged love letters?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/24 11:17 PM

When I ask my partner to be romantic, I’m asking him to do/say something thoughtful that appeals to my love languages (yes they’re fake but they’re a helpful starting point) and shows he cares for me. Examples: grab me my favorite candy bar on the way home from work, do a chore of mine that I’ve been dreading, offer me a back massage, ask me to game with him for the evening. I prefer a man who has been in therapy and I’d see it as a green flag. It’s not a guarantee he’s a good partner, but he’d hopefully have some important communication and self regulation tools. People can experience different benefits and takeaways from the same experience. People who drive to the top of the mountain don’t always want to lie that they hiked it, maybe they just wanted to enjoy the view without doing much work. I completely disagree that men with abusive/antisocial tendencies are more successful with women. That’s genuinely an insane take. You didn’t even understand my point. Men only needed money in the past to get a wife because women couldn’t work or be financially independent, thus they had no reason to grow as a person and treat their spouse well.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/24 06:01 PM
13

My point is the average man is not up to scratch compared to the average woman. Men in the past only needed money to get a wife, now you actually have to be a person worth dating. “Average men” in my opinion are generally not as emotionally or socially intelligent as the average woman (all else being held equal). That’s why average women would prefer to die alone rather than stay with a man that doesn’t meet her needs.

Please don’t forget that prior to the 70s, women needed men to do something as simple as opening up a bank account, obtaining a credit card, or getting a loan, much less buying a home. If you say no women would date a man who will paternity test no matter what (by your own admission) then it sounds like we’ve established a norm that paternity testing is inappropriate outside of specific concrete accusations of cheating. Men who want to paternity test by default are not the norm and thus the onus is on them to say something. Again. You literally admitted no woman wants a man who needs “confirmation” their wife and mother of their child isn’t a cheating wh*re. Insecure men are t…

I totally would have that conversation early on in a serious relationship, that’s not the gotcha you think it is. Find someone with compatible values or don’t be surprised when she leaves you for this behavior. Thankfully I don’t personally have to deal with any of this shit, as I’m childfree and sterile by choice.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 11:19 PM

It’s “sabotage” to be upfront about your values and fundamental beliefs, because no woman would want you when you’re honest about it? Way to tell on yourself, holy shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 11:03 PM
1

I am childfree and sterile by choice, but I assume this will please you since women’s greatest value to you is their ability to pump out your offspring. It is unhealthy pathological insecurity enabled with modern technology. It is not normal to lack such basic trust in your partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 11:01 PM
4

Men who feel this way would ask their hypothetical future wives for these tests. They (and you as well, it seems) have such bad trust issues that you don’t trust someone you haven’t even met. I can’t imagine lacking that kind of basic trust in someone you want to marry and procreate with. It’s unhealthy pathological insecurity, end of story. Every man prior to the invention of paternity tests has had to get the fuck over themselves, I would suggest you follow suit. Alternatively as suggested ear…

Are you secretly a terrorist? Despite that being phrased as a question, what you’re being asked about is so far removed from your value system and so unlike you that it ends up coming off as an accusation (and an offensive one at that).
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 09:17 PM

Thinking my partner is cheating ≠ “I care about this relationship.” I can’t imagine liking being accused of cheating unless it was a trauma response from an abusive relationship. It’s giving “I like when he hits me it means he really cares 🥺”
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 08:59 PM
3

It’s more likely she was unfaithful and it’s not even close. These tests are about discovering infidelity and it’s disingenuous to claim low probability events are why men ask for paternity tests.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 08:39 PM
12

I would hope these RPers are extremely honest with their partners long before pregnancy is on the table about their intent to test paternity. This “problem” is easily avoided if men were honest about their insecurity early on in the relationship and is dating a woman that’s okay with reassuring him with a paternity test.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 08:36 PM
10

He’s trying to justify men paternity testing their children with the “I just want to be sure and it’s not fair for my partner to feel betrayed by it” argument. There are multiple posts about it every week and it seems impossible to convince these men that it is in fact rude to implicitly accuse your partner of cheating and paternity fraud.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 08:33 PM
44

No. While I admire the sad attempt to gender swap the paternity fraud issue, I wouldn’t test my partners faithfulness unless I had a concrete reason to be suspicious. It would be hurtful to my partner and I have no desire to “just make sure” if I feel my relationship is strong and stable (as it should be on the verge of marriage).
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 08:31 PM

“Equality” doesn’t mean every man who wants an ideal girlfriend gets one. You have fundamentally misunderstood what fairness is. You aren’t owed a hot, young, thin girlfriend that meets all of your needs without compromise—just as this TikTok freak influencer isn’t owed a hot jacked liberal boyfriend. Women don’t need to collectively lower their standards to make it “fair” for men, fairness has no relevance to this conversation. Also, it’s comically evil to compare you being lonely to women bein…

/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 06:29 PM

Meh, having lived in rec states and fully illegal states I think it’s a relatively small % that are actually snoop dog level stoners. Those people are usually homebodies and bums with little career prospects or social life.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/24 05:23 PM

As a (highly functioning) stoner myself, this is a cold take. Almost nobody finds chronic drug dependency attractive. I only do it at night to manage anxiety. What really grosses me out is people who smoke inside, it’s disgusting
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/24 05:18 PM

Interjecting here but I think her point may be that you won’t find a happy relationship if you aren’t happy and enjoying life on your own. Idk abt you, but I can tell when men I’m dating hate themselves/are unhappy with their life circumstances or don’t treat themselves well. It’s ugly and sad and I’ve never continued seeing them because 1. Desperation isn’t a good look and 2. I’m confident that when our relationship isn’t the picture perfect thing they were imagining, they’re going to treat me …

Agree. This is how I’ve always been able to tell if someone (romantic prospect or friend) shows they have problems maintaining long term healthy friendships. It could be personality, a deeper pattern of mood instability, or being high conflict. Barring circumstances like starting life over and moving somewhere else, I think it’s unhealthy for an independent adult to lack a platonic social support network, no matter how small.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/24 03:00 AM

Then the answer (in your view) appears to be don’t ever marry or commit, because you don’t trust women to put out whenever you want.

So if it’s cheating for her to not put out as often as he wants (but that’s not okay), then he’s allowed to cheat on her (somehow okay)? Make this make sense. I thought black/red pillers care about the “sanctity of marriage” or some horseshit.

if the greatest value your partner brings is her lack of sexual experience, your standards must be very low. you use extremely degrading language to describe this hypothetical woman’s life choices, as opposed to the woman you want that you’re literally describing putting on a pedestal and worshipping. why do you consider marriage as “paying” for access to sex with her? have you ever heard of the madonna wh*re complex?

you will truly never be happy if that’s your standard for a strong relationship. women do not want to date men who feel that way either. battling a man’s insecurity for him by constantly reassuring him he’s the best you’ve ever had is exhausting. you need to talk to someone about this.

i’m closer to agreeing with you than the other commenter, but i don’t agree that just because you aren’t having sex that it means you’ve “left a monogamous relationship.” you can be monogamous with someone and sexually abstinent at the same time—i imagine that’s how most asexual monogamous relationships work. again, words have meaning. it’s fine to call refusing sex a betrayal and it’s a good reason to end the relationship, but it’s not “leaving monogamy” or “cheating.”
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 02:38 PM
4

i am a native english speaker so i’m happy to clarify: breach of agreement is NOT cheating. cheating is a very specific behavior that can’t be used as a catch all term for “my wife won’t fuck me.” betrayal is a fine word to use instead.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 02:33 PM
8

abstinence isn’t cheating either? i’m not pro “women who stop having sex as soon as they get married”, but jesus yall words have meaning. you don’t need to label this behavior as infidelity to justify ending the marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 02:31 PM
2

even with your strict interpretation of what a marriage contract entails, violating it by denying sex doesn’t mean they’re “cheating.” cheating is a pretty specific act of choosing to sleep with someone you’re not in a relationship with. denying sex is manipulative and unfair (and worthy of divorce if it’s a pattern), but not cheating unless they’re fucking around with someone else.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 02:17 PM
1

how is it cheating?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 01:49 PM

none needed. i’ve only ever dated men 5’8” or shorter. being funny and having great facial hair is always a huge plus for me though
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/24 04:38 PM

personally i have dropped a friend over her being a willing accessory to cheating (homewrecking) and i think my friends would all do the same with each other. it’s skeevy behavior i/we don’t want to be associated with.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/24 01:55 PM
6

i have never stated that nobody owes anyone anything. you must have me confused with some other faceless profile. i believe strongly in the social contract, not ghosting, helping people in need, mediating conflict. speaking in heavy generalities, i think when women say “women don’t owe you anything,” it’s in response to men who are pushing her boundaries and expecting things beyond what’s appropriate given the circumstances.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/24 07:57 PM
0

i would probably end the relationship. i don’t want men who deliberately seek out younger partners and would never be able to shake off the concern of being traded in for a “newer model.” unless you can convince me of exactly why you thought dating a barely legal teenager was truly a good idea and benefitted you both, the streets can have you.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/24 07:45 PM
8

because normal people understand the long term value in helping others with no expectation of any immediate return. doing good things for the sake of it is a normal thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/24 04:57 PM
9

it is antisocial behavior, yes. it’s unusual to expect nobody to help you and it’s even more unusual to refuse to help anyone else in need on principle. social behavior is not always about cost/benefit, it’s about relationships, community and doing things without expectation of reciprocation
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/24 04:41 PM
6

it’s a straw man. no feminist stereotype OP has invented thinks calling 911 is emotional labor. OP is weaponizing faulty logic and following it to the “logical” conclusion that expecting people to call 911 for you if you need help is entitlement. it’s a deeply antisocial and malicious subversion of the universal social contract.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/24 04:17 PM
8

this is a deeply antisocial and concerning thing to say. most people have some kind of internal drive to help those around them, even if it’s just calling 911. it’s not entitlement to expect the people around you to at least do that if you need help. great example of this was the teenagers who watched a man drown in a lake without calling 911. they received insane public backlash and i think caught some kind of criminal charge.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/24 04:10 PM

“calling 911 is emotional labor” is not the brain dead take i was expecting to see when i opened reddit this morning
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/24 12:51 PM

infidelity is not correlated to how collectivist a society is. i think rape statistics in the us are heavily underreported as well. people are generally very courteous to each other (save for the gropers on public transport) and keep their spaces clean and quiet. i’m in awe of common anecdotes of entirely silent subway cars and people picking up garbage that isn’t theirs off the street.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/24 02:27 PM

flair checks out. i would genuinely rather live in a society like japan with a high degree of collectivism and respect for each other/their environment than a place like the US where public rapes and littering doesn’t draw a negative response from the people around you.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/24 01:27 PM

individualism is absolutely destroying our society. while i think OP is exaggerating the societal expectation that people step in to help someone in need, i think it should be the norm. a room full of people with a dog eat dog mindset are going to eat each other.

i can’t imagine a western woman that would be willing to enter an arranged marriage put together by their family members. maybe in some deeply religious circles, but otherwise we’re back at the original issue of not even being able to force women to date some of these desperate men. moving in with a man i don’t know sounds like an actual horror movie plot.

disclaimer: i know my opinion is uncommon i have almost always split equally or taken turns splitting with the person i’m dating, regardless of their gender. men who obnoxiously insist on paying every time seem to have something to prove or are trying to curry favor. in my experience, who pays for meals ends up having very little impact on what the dynamic of my relationship with them is like.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 01:17 PM

it’s hard to ignore, but you’re right. i’m sorry to hear your family went through that. all we can do is be better than our older generations by building on their gains and never letting ourselves rely on men.

i’m a financial planner, so i’m happy to explain this since you’re struggling ;) if you choose to ignore the emotional significance of many major financial life decisions, you’re missing out on what makes those numbers important. 90% of parents would be wildly offended at the assertion that their children are nothing more than liabilities. the value of children cannot be reduced to numbers and most decent fathers would never see their kids that way. our judicial system operates the same way (see…

i’m a financial planner and i can personally tell you that $300k doesn’t set you up for long. it’s a great start, but by no means is it a ticket to retirement. also, you’re insane for thinking you can buy “several properties” for $300k (or even getting a reasonable mortgage rn) and then actually collect enough rent to break even as a bona fide slumlord. dump whoever you’re getting your financial advice from.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/24 03:40 PM

as long as you’re never having kids, that’s a fine attitude to have. but you don’t get to have that opinion about your own children especially if they were wanted. a financial liability ≠ bad/not worth having. this is coming from a sterile and childfree woman.

if a husband/father sees his own children as a liability, he should never have had them in the first place. the cost of having and raising children is extremely high, but most people find it worth it for personal gratification/religious mandate/“need to spread your seed”/betterment of society/insert your higher purpose here.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/24 03:24 PM

i watched this happen to my mother. SAHM, 4 kids in 5 years, husband worked a traveling tech job and they divorced 12 years in. she had basically no work experience and couldn’t get a job in the field she got a degree in. child support helped but wasn’t enough to bridge the gap in the HCOL area. to this day (10 years after their divorce), she’s making a third of what she could have been making and struggling to make ends meet. women are objectively at huge financial risk when they agree to be “t…

not sure what a rapist calling a woman by the correct word (woman = adult human female) has anything to do with you. using “woman” instead of “female” has nothing to do with rape. i’m mocking you for calling men what they are (men), but using a dehumanizing term instead of using the equivalent word for the other gender. there’s an entire sub making fun of men who do this.

i have been the breadwinner in every relationship i’ve ever been in and would never sign a prenup. i would never date someone who didn’t believe in the same financial structure of marriage as i do (joint assets). i am also a financial planner so this realm of life/relationships is something i’ve always felt confident about. i don’t understand couples that don’t have this conversation extremely early on. finances are one of the primary reasons a relationship falls apart and you need to be aligned…

i’m not indifferent to the relationships i enter and i have no idea what point you’re trying to make in the context of my comment. who i enter a relationship with is just as important as the “social contract” being signed when i do so. the reason many relationships fail is because the couple should never have been together in the first place so id argue it’s pretty fucking important

i think you could be confusing women’s criticism of arrogant men with “being too confident.” the variable i would say most of us are concerned with is social grace and intelligence. is he confident or is he monopolizing the conversation? is he confident or is he hitting on every woman at the party? this is related to the problem of men getting shitty advice from socially inept corners of the manosphere (read: tate and PUAs)

i can’t think of any racial group that regularly approaches me and doesn’t take no for an answer and makes me feel unsafe. i can only think of one demographic that makes me feel that way with any frequency. you’re welcome to be upset, but that’s literally just my lived experience. also, massive lol at the implication that men are somehow a structurally oppressed minority.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/24 01:07 AM

overall, if men were as afraid of women as women are afraid of men then nobody would ever approach anyone. i acknowledge the reverse can happen to men, but this is mostly a women’s issue. men commit violence against women far more than the other way around and that’s the reason women don’t approach men (which is the point of my OC). helpful note: if you’re regularly having weapons of self defense pointed at you, then women are perceiving you as a threat and you need to change something now.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/24 06:40 PM

i understand this is a debate, and i’ve spent the last three comments trying to convince you of the lived experiences of millions of women. it is dangerous to approach men sometimes, full stop. it is not sexist to acknowledge that truth and behave accordingly. feel free to be insulted but i’m done engaging if you’re going to gaslight women collectively.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/24 04:16 PM

you asked why women don’t approach and i told you. women do face real danger. you don’t have to accept that truth but you won’t have any answers to your question.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/24 04:08 PM

i wouldn’t be concerned about it if it didn’t happen, but it does (and with much greater frequency than anyone wants to admit). even if it’s not a violent rape in an alley, she still has to experience fear and anxiety that her boundaries and autonomy won’t be respected the first time she says “no thanks.”
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/24 03:48 PM

that’s silly, men have no fear of violence because they rejected a woman. i have been sexually assaulted by a man i approached and decided i didn’t like and tried to walk away. there’s real risk in giving a random stranger a chance if you’re a woman. OP asked why women don’t approach, i’m giving the answer that feminists have shared with me and sharing my own experiences. if you don’t like it i can’t help you.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/24 03:46 PM

i literally just told you why women are afraid and how there is a worse outcome than rejection for women. men sometimes can’t take no for an answer and if you even hinted at being interested they’ll take that as far as they possibly can, including telling you exactly what they’d do to you and groping you while you try to walk away. ask me how i know. it is not sexist to be concerned a man won’t take no for an answer.

disclaimer: i am a woman who actively approaches men the main reason i’ve heard from feminist/forward thinking friends of mine on why they don’t approach is all of them have experienced an inability to disengage if things go sideways. they’ve described approaching a man they’re interested in and quickly determine they’re not interested/he’s socially inept/says something inappropriate/escalated way too quickly, but when they try to say “thanks nice talking to you take care,” the man gets angry or…

you are overgeneralizing pretty severely. the average well adjusted woman values open communication and is turned off by men being coy and playing the long game. the difference is being respectful, courteous, and tailoring your message to your audience when explaining what you’re looking for or making a move. going with a socially inept opening line or failing to read the mood is what makes women upset, not that you’re being straightforward.

i don’t mean to come across as callous, but you’re presenting that information in a deeply manipulative way. are you genuinely expecting women to stay in marriages that make them miserable to prevent men from committing suicide (a deeply personal choice)? yes, of course divorce is emotionally devastating, why are women responsible for what their ex spouses choose to do? your example of getting a cat and then being mad at her husband for not “pulling his weight” is disingenuous and not a good exa…

i look forward to completely avoiding this problem by simply not marrying a man that has a different messiness tolerance than i do. i divide chores explicitly and equitably early on with the men i live with and they need to care about cleaning/having a clean home as much as i do (which is a reasonable amount)

i don’t blame men for “allowing” me to live my own life, work my own job, have my own apartment and enjoy what the world has to offer. i’m grateful my mother and her mother fought for what i have now and i wouldn’t dream of returning to an era where women are drugged up baby-machine housewives.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/24 08:55 PM

my desired outcome is a monogamous, physically and emotionally healthy relationship where both our needs are fully met. we’re able to openly communicate and work through issues. we make each other happy and feel comfortable in each others presence. we maintain or increase our individual and joint wealth. we marry when we feel the time is right and we use our money to travel and have nice things, no kids.

it’s culture and stereotypes about who is supposed to play what role in relationships. i reject both perspectives as sexist in their own ways. i’m looking for an equal (or near equal) partner in both income and contributions to running the household, as are many women i know. choose social circles with similar values to your own.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/24 10:47 PM

women in general have a drive to seek partnership with invading males because nature cares not from where the seed flows that’s a really poetic way to say “all of the men in my community were systematically murdered and my only option is to submit to rape and forced marriage before i am killed myself.” women don’t seek partnership with those that kill their loved ones. have you been watching too much game of thrones? our men are weak shit no, in fact i frequently hear the opposite, that they are…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/24 01:18 PM

i want whatever you’re smoking, i’d love to be that out of touch with reality. you’ve made a ton of huge logical leaps into “it’s fine if some women get raped and the others will get stockholm syndrome eventually!” your last paragraph makes no sense and you sound more like a foreign conquest/rape fantasizer than someone taking this issue seriously.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/24 12:29 PM

the stereotype of guys they’re using are stupid, short tempered dickheads. being aggressive and attempting to show dominance is both futile and a waste of time. disengage, distance, silence. violence should always be an absolute last resort. i’m turned off by men who don’t share my values around using your head before your fists, “divine masculine” energy be damned

if we’re here to do more than simply complain and opine about the destruction of our society, i think there’s huge value in helping men as a whole improve on their emotional intelligence and awareness. they deserve the same tools women are socialized with from birth.

i’m so glad you got to chime in with the incredibly insightful #notallmen, but this is prevalent enough of a problem that it strains marriages and fucks up the kids. tons of men are only interested in reproduction as far as it gives him the title of “father,” and the effort stops there. can we help these men emotionally confront this cognitive dissonance and clarify their goals before they become a shitty dad?

i am childfree and sterile as of a couple of years ago despite being 24. i’ve always been deeply suspicious of most men’s willingness to step up as fathers once they’ve checked off the Life Script box of “jizz in a lady and create my legacy.” my last long term relationship ended because he was insistent he needed to give his father grandkids before he passed away. that logic terrifies me and i don’t think most of them understand the level of emotional commitment a child takes—it’s a lifelong lab…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 07:46 PM

i have literally never once heard a woman judge a man for being single. i’ve heard “why is he single he’s so sexy/successful/etc” but never “he’s weird for being single.” i don’t recognize this as an issue, or something that’s women’s responsibility to make normal. the whole point of women celebrating being single is because in the past, being a spinster/cat lady was a bad thing and it’s taken a long time for women to collectively realize we don’t need men to survive anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/24 01:40 PM

genuine question, why bother participating if it’s not in good faith and you’re not bothering to articulate what you mean when your idea is “i have a right to treat my wife poorly because she isn’t doing what i want”?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/24 01:09 PM

has every right to neglect you christ on a bike, that approach to relationships sounds fucking miserable. tit for tat and sneaky manipulative behavior is a one way street to a lonely life, romantic or not. i am high libido so this particular issue doesn’t resonate with me, but if the husband isn’t getting his needs met after openly communicating he only thing he has a “right” to do is leave.

the dead bedroom post you’re referencing is not coercive, but manipulative and arguably a form of abuse if it’s a pattern of behavior. if i knew my husband was deliberately ignoring/neglecting me in an effort to get what he wants, i would divorce him. you’re right that attention is one of the only currencies you have, but leveraging it to manipulate women will lead you to a lonely and miserable life. not to mention that this kind of manipulation is easy to identify and it’d be easy for her to tu…
