4	Preparing for massive downvotes, but would like to share my opinion Why is that word meanings change and language evolves? I don't know, it's just something that's always happened ever since humans started using speech to communicate... Maybe we need a new term for it but insisting on describing myself with a word that no longer means what I wish to be describing myself as would not be helpful either to myself or to anyone trying to find out about me. 16	Preparing for massive downvotes, but would like to share my opinion I agree with you - the problem is one of terminology. Even if feminism once meant a belief that men and women should be equal, the connotations are now something quite different from that.
