But at the end of the day I think the fact we as a society don’t take rape as seriously when it happens to a man as we do when it happens to a woman is because after a sexual assault a woman could end up pregnant and (now) be forced to carry that baby. Even if it would kill her. Women have significantly more to lose if they are raped than men do. Pregnancy is by no means easy or something to be taken lightly.
