So what does that say about OP's boyfriend having female friends?

As a 20+ year old, I really need to get this stupid idea out of my head. It's not just rp. Society in general — at least where I live — also pressures women to marry before 30. You're looked upon negatively if you don't.

The success stories are actually under the flair "Field Report"

I do think that only people who need advice (aka people who are not in a great relationship at the moment) would post in the first place, so there may be some confirmation bias here. I'm in a great, very long-term relationship myself, you wouldn't see me posting there unless I'm seriously overjoyed about something. It'd kinda feel like bragging.

To be fair, I came across your comment on the original post when it was still up, and it sounded like you really thought it was ok to hit women and call them names outside of the bedroom. I think you could have been more explicit, especially while dealing with such a sensitive topic such as domestic violence. At the very least, for the sake of not giving others the wrong impression?

Could you give some examples of what makes those relationships toxic?

Hey, I'm not sure if this will help but I borrowed this book called "The Art of Frugal Hedonism" (recommended by another Redditor lol) from the library and it covers the topic of working to live vs living to work. You might want give it a try.

I have not much to say except to be careful of love-bombing (you said he is "crazy attracted" to you), silent treatment, and other tactics commonly associated with narcissism. It usually takes an insidious turn from love-bombing/future-making, to small little criticisms, and eventually to controlling every single thing you do. Yes, you can even fall victim to someone younger than yourself. I'm saying this with love, as I've seen what narcissism has done to my own parents' marriage.

Oh man I fuckin love touching raw meat. When I was a kid I even thought raw meat looked tastier than cooked meat.

I'm living outside the US, and here there's isn't really a culture of living together before marriage, especially since rental costs are so high. Not about to spend ⅓ of my salary on rent, man...

Usually younger women who grew up in a positive environment, have minimal issues, lower n count, cooperative, and feminine are naturally more giving and nurturing. They don't assume the worst in men or assume they're going to be taken advantage of. They don't act that way to manipulate or do it conditionally. They aren't as rushed or afraid because they have all the time in the world. It's just how they are. This is eye-opening to read!

I have the same problem. I'm thinking of changing out my wardrobe so that all of my clothes are cute/feminine (even home clothes), so that I don't have a choice and will look cute/feminine without even taking an extra effort to dress up tbh.

Men who are against porn are out there, I don’t know why so many of these responses are “gOoD lUcK finding a man who doesnt” (wait yes i do, cuz its reddit). I agree. My boyfriend literally feels disgusted whenever he sees a woman's ass hanging out, and looks away in disgust when he sees a picture of a woman being overtly sexual. And those reels where the woman wants to show something informative but just has to act sexy for 4 seconds first? He ranted to me about how annoyed he is at them lol. Y…

If "99% of men" do it, then 1% don't, and that means not all men do it. You literally work for escorts. That's biased.

I did not disagree with "Don't meddle. There is probably a lot that you don't understand." which answers my question and is, in fact, the same sentiment as my own. I disagreed with the rest of their comment.

Luckily, I'm moving to college dorms this fall. However, I would likely be back after graduating so that I can save up money for a house with my boyfriend asap. I considered renting, but a barely furnished 100sqft room would already take up 33% of my assumed take-home fresh graduate pay... I live in a very HCOL country. But maybe I can figure something out somehow.

I'm sorry, do you know more about my family than I do? I chose to limit the information I share so as to remain unidentifiable, so there is a lot that you don't understand, certainly not enough to simply pass judgement on someone based on an abridged post. I also find it incredulous that you're supposing my father would have any part to blame for being the victim of physical, verbal, and financial abuse.

Why does the RPW link lead to a 1984 video? I'm confused.

What's the opposite of "dressing for the male gaze" anyway? Gaining too much weight, wearing baggy clothes, unshaved armpits? It doesn't really make sense.

Thanks for this! I will bring it up to him.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
