Marriage used to be mostly an economic contract. Only because people didn't divorce (or could not afford to) infidelity was always around, love and relationships were not as tied to marriage as we see it today, so I'd rather argue we changed the reason why we marry, not our general behavior.

Ah, I see, I read your post wrong. I guess it comes down to the fact that voluntary means aligned with their preference, their current goals and content with their situation, while involuntary means lacking a desired relationship and therefore not in line with their goals. I don't see myself as better than them for staying single, nor do I see myself as worse than people in couples. The whole thing with ranking people and their lifestyles sucks anyways.

Because men convinced themselves that anger and aggression are not feelings but rational thoughts. If men decided to stop sleeping with any woman they can, it would die down quickly, but men can't do that because it's in their nature I guess? So it's women's fault they cater to the male urge to spread their genes while men are excused. I don't think we would care. Currently we are sacrificing our beautiful nature for shareholder profit while we can't even take care of everyone. We reward cunningness and manipulation, not intelligence. Priorities would shift I guess.

Maybe, but another trait will grow stronger, maybe our sense for beauty and aesthetics? While I don't think they would define intelligence in the same way we do, they would estalish a different kind of discipline, that can also be enhanced by learned behavior and social practice, establishes dominance over other out-groups and is therefore worthwile to pursue.

So you say men were lazy, selfish and agressive until they knew they left a legacy while women ensured the continuity of the species? While I agree that men built a fair share of our advances while women had to breed and care for their brood, the "gender roles" back then were way more equal. Non-breeding women went hunting and gathering and bulding shelter just as much.

You know that women get 50% of genes from their father as well, right? So when there are no "low quality" dads, the women will also become "better" and taller, even when a higher percent of them reproduce. I'd like to think both get taller, maybe we'd look like Avatar's Navii, just not as blue? Also, not all women can reproduce and never have, there has always been an infertility rate.

Sounds like self-worth-protecting behavior. You chose the young, carefree girl with the bouncy boobs over the wise and sophisticated woman with life experience. To get over a disappointment like that, we humans tend to blame others, rather than admitting our own shortcomings (see incels). Acknowledging that you're just not that into them is threatening their self-esteem, therefore it's easier to see you as the shallow immature a******.
