Short guy here. Fuck that shit, I don't need a pat on the head and a medal just for existing. The only acceptance I need comes from myself.

Is there a shrieking, hysterical, clueless, man-hating cunt in waiting in every Jezebel journalist? Nope - the 'in waiting' part doesn't count.

20's is for building up, 30's is for maintaining that and enjoying the fruits of your labour/accrued SMV. Exactly this. I guess I'm lucky in that I had taken on board various RP elements in my 20s, before they were widely vocalised or discussed online - working hard to forge a career, saying no to marriage like the cancer it is, learning to question the simpering liberal bullshit the media feeds you (and I say that as someone who dwells on the political Left). I always felt bad for those guys wh…

Holy shit dude, I wish I had been so clued-up back when I was 23 (I'm 31 now).

The most telling thing about that thread is all the insults they sling at us. Ad hominen attacks right off the bat = lack of anything to say, ever. One of the reasons I love this sub is that it's actually one of the most civil out there. I disagree with a good 40% of the stuff I read on here (the constant 'alpha'/'beta' stuff never resonates to me) but I know that if I put forward a well-reasoned, polite counterargument, I'll get a well-reasoned, polite counterargument in return. Y'know, a time-…

Not particularly saying that advertising is run solely by men Yeah, I totally agree (so much of the 'unrealistic body images blah blah blah' foisted upon women is done by women themselves). I just find it amusing that feminists would be the first to label the world of advertising as a 'tool of the patriarchy' or some such horseshit, while gleefully lapping up the spoilt princess mentality it promotes.

Can someone just sit all women down and tell them, quite simply: "It's your right to be fat. It's your right to be out of shape. It's your right to be morbidly obese. Have at it. Do what you want. You're free. Buuuuuut guess what? It's NOT your right to demand what men find attractive, so certain fatties can take their self-pitying shit-fits, shove it up their asses, and fuck off while they're doing it."

I would hope you're right. The trouble is that, as the cliche goes, there's often 'nothing less liberal than a liberal'. Lots of Guardian reader types are all too happy to embrace totalitarianism if it happens to be a totalitarianism they agree with (and I say this as someone who comes from the Left politically - well, the old-school Left, not the simpering relativist pussies who make up today's prominent Left). edit: typo

Don't be too sure. They'll just scrap it if it's inconvenient. What the shrieking 'progressives' who would support the banning of criticising feminism don't realise is that they could be the next ones to feel the wrath of state censorship. Remember the poem 'first they came for the ...' etc etc.

European (British guy) here. I love America, I genuinely think that - while it has many, many flaws - it's the greatest nation in the world. It's a deeply unfashionable viewpoint to have, but I stopped giving a shit about such things a long time ago.

"9. Walk on the other side of the street when a woman is walking towards you at night." I can't quite put my finger on why, but this one made me rage the most. Just the absolute pathetic supplication of it all. He's apologetic for even EXISTING as a man. What a snivelling turd.

Dude - sadness is not necessarily a bad thing. It means you've accepted the truth about life and are reacting to it. You'll get over the sadness and work on improving your life. That's much better than a typical blue-pill reaction: simply plugging your fingers in your ears, pretending that all Red Pill truths are just nonsense, and singing 'la la la la' all the way back to SRS.

"If you do not have children, then you have failed your purpose in this world" Yes, but who is defining that purpose? Let's look at George Clooney - respected actor, director and public figure. No kids. Then let's look at Cletus who works in Wal-Mart: no high school diploma, no prospects or savings, and seven kids. Who's bringing more to the table here? Is the latter really living more of a 'purposeful' life than the former?

I've never, never, never understand the desire to have children. I'm 31 now and the very idea of being a father makes me want to puke. I've spent years creating a good life for myself - good career, comforts, luxuries, sex life. Why the hell would I want to send a shitty-diaper-filled torpedo screaming into the middle of all that? I'll let Dave Benatar sum it up better than I ever could: http://www.goodreads.com/work/quotes/646592-better-never-to-have-been-the-harm-of-coming-into-existence

Taki's Magazine is fast becoming one of my go-to spots for quality journalism right now. Gavin McInnes and Jim Goad are two of the best bullshit-free writers out there.

I don't know whether to feel pity or contempt after reading that. What a simpering, ball-less, feeble excuse for a man.

One of the comments reads "she’s a gorgeous woman! And she’s owning it, living in her skin comfortably! What could be more beautiful than that?" Erm, Megan Fox, maybe?

The irony is if that she was 'secure in her skin' she wouldn't have to write such nonsense that desperately tries to justify her blob-like status. Deep down, beyond the hamster wheel spinning, she KNOWS how bad she looks.

I've heard a couple of different definitions of gamma. One is a total loser (which I always assumed to be 'omega'). One is that it's someone who is kind of 'outside' the traditional system (creative, artist-types who may not have massive amounts of status but have the skills to capitalise on women's hyper-emotional mindset).

It certainly is an interesting development for men once we turn 30. In the world of online dating, for instance, I've recently started to get several messages from women in their mid-30s. They genuinely seem to think I can't see through their bullshit. Look, ladies, I was the kind of guy you would have sneeringly rejected ten years ago, and now your options are limited you feel you can settle for me as your silver/bronze medal, and - even more in-fucking-credibly - expect me to be GRATEFUL for t…
