Women were not researched or specifically funded up until recent history. So women’s health/medicine has A LOT of catching up to do in order to get to where men’s is. They likely spent more money on women because women have so many reproductive costs. Also, your source fails to bring into account a few things. More Women agree to be participants than men. Unless 1. It’s risky (not as many women are willing to risk their health and 2. Paid (women participate in studies for free more often than men).

Think about this logistically. 3.6 million babies are born in the US every year. 3.6 million DNA tests. We have no system set up to handle that type of operation. (Edit: by system I’m including workers to process the amount of tests). And who is conducting this test? Hospitals? Because I’m sure they would charge out the ass for it.
