Seriously... Why did this get removed???

There is definitely truth in that you need to be careful with who your close friends are. But in terms of interacting with others casting a wide net gives higher likelihood of finding worthwhile friendships.

There is hardly anything this guy could be doing that's more alpha than building a die-hard group of friends that admire his character. In investment terms, this guy is diversifying his portfolio - investing in so many people that if he ever has a need or problem, there is someone on whom he can call who will be ready to answer.

Thanks so much for sharing about this guy. For those of us who benefit from this kind of analysis - these observations are a gold mine. I once read a book on body language that was insightful to me but got mixed reviews on Amazon because so many people were saying "this is common sense." Well it wasn't common sense to me and if we are all being honest, neither is TRP for the majority of us.

Can confirm, my best friend growing up was like this almost to a T. He came from a dirt poor family of missionaries, but his dad instilled respectful habits into him like calling older men "sir." He has always made me proud to call him my "hetero lifemate" haha. Being rich doesn't make you confident, in fact being able to live in contentment with poverty can give you quite a "nothing can touch me" dimension.

Dad of 4 here, can confirm this is by and large the best form of punishment.

Have an upvote. Making eye contact while simultaneously rummaging around in my head for the next words is my hell haha.

This is a psychological coping mechanism. Look up Aesop's fable of the sour grapes and it might actually open your eyes to other ways that this poisonous attitude is used by culture or friends. It sometimes can even help you identify when you use the same BP "trick" to help yourself feel better. Basically, criticism is a lot easier to ignore when you can know in the back of your mind that it's a lot easier for people to deploy words against you than actually get off their butts and do anything.

Great challenge, feels like it should be the RP version of "Hooah!"

Thanks for this reply, I would love the chance to talk more with those who see this. In order to avoid the predictable pushback against religious subject matter, it would definitely be easier to discuss trp + theology in a different context.

Married father of 4 here, 9F, 7F, 4M and 1M. Giving your post some thought today. Edit #1: first thought, I would consider using your wife/SO as your greatest resource here - set her to the task of talking this through and figuring it out with your daughter, and make sure that avenue and any others are depleted before you go the therapist route. Not saying all therapy is bad (because certainly behavior can be affected by chemical imbalance), but even a medical problem will not be 100% of the iss…

Agreed, I have read Nietzsche's Genealogy of Morality and would agree with you on this point. When Augustine "legalized" Christianity in the early A.D's a great number of bad things happened and both sides lost and have continued to hemorrhage.

Well said. I am easily frustrated when critical thinking doesn't happen, although I have also run into the exhaustion/isolation of too much. Groups like TRP are helpful community because of the common threads and language, which doesn't eliminate the need for critical thinking but can give your mind at least a little rest.

Which I am going to some lengths to avoid. Apologies if I should have done more and I will be vigilant of this in the future, but I believe that my post and comments have been above board here. Correct me if I am wrong.

Couldn't agree more, this exact passage rang loud and clear in my mind when first swallowing the RP.

I'm simply intending to ask if a separate group with these inclinations exists. Not trying to change TRP.

You will find different translations and different opinions on this topic ranging from ultra conservative all the way to so far gone that furries and otherkin have their "proof texts." The fact of the matter is that if Christ is who he says he is, and who his followers this he is (supreme alpha, Colossians 1:15 onward), he leads an army far more powerful than we will ever comprehend, and when he returns in command of that army, you will either be on his side, or not. The apostle Paul urges peopl…

Well said, and the sort of thing I wish I heard more from Christianity at large.

Well, the Bible itself predicts a global rejection of not only Christianity but all religion, so this trend is nothing new. Global rejection of the idea that something "out there" is more supreme than man is the logical end result of lots of individuals believing that. Basically the Bible explains that the only reason this global movement doesn't happen right this moment is because the "helper" (Holy Spirit) is preventing it.

True, maybe I'm wrong to have wanted a "more filtered" group. I get annoyed when a group becomes so wrapped up in its message (hive minded) that it can't relate to actual regular people.

Yes I see so many/hear so much from the pulpit that is clearly "blinders-on" it is becoming very frustrating.

Religion is almost certainly what finally got Homo Sapiens out of the primordial ooze that was Matriarchal tribal society. There are a lot of highly religious Matriarchal societies still in existence today.

Thanks for posting this, I have repeatedly seen this to be true in my own marriage: If there is an undesirable trait in my wife, it can almost 100% of the time be traced back to a BP (even more undesirable) trait in myself that must change if she is to follow.
/r/TheRedPill07/02/17 08:21 PM

Partially, yes. I should have also made it more clear that I'm wondering if any of you have come up with solutions for dealing with the BP in church/christian culture. Thanks for the lead on the blog, I hadn't heard of it/been there yet so I think that will point me in a good direction for stuff to read.

Actually, it's extremely rewarding, but as has been echoed a thousand times on this site: You will notice/be punished almost as soon as you lose focus.

Is there any group that you know of that is RP but doesn't have as a focus on ONS culture? Again not pointing fingers at ONS because those folks are operating on the belief that self is the highest form of alpha - and if I believed that, ONS is exactly what I'd be doing.

Great reply, thank you. I definitely believe it's possible to hold both beliefs, guess I'm just hungry to digest thoughtful material from other people who are connecting these dots. I feel that as a human in this society you are automatically inundated with "devotional" material from every viewpoint. TRP helps me stay grounded in TRP, but I guess I'm feeling a need for respectable material out there to keep me grounded in a Biblical viewpoint.

Nice summary, gets right to the point. I have been married for 11 years but my advice to every guy who asks me about it is exactly this. Marriage as recognized by these western governments is extremely dangerous and should only be attempted by people who are ready to push their A game until they die.

So are you saying he should edit history because he should be afraid of looking pathetic? Sometimes I feel like people are so concerned with "being alpha" that they've become convinced that they are something they actually aren't.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
