Oh yeah I agree. I talk to everyone now and especially people in similar roles

Hey dude good for you. I'm turning things around at 27 and I've made a lot of personal gains and now I'm turning my attention towards improving my social / relationship prospects so I appreciate your perspective. Enjoy!

Awesome. Thanks for elaborating. Do you have time to flesh this out further? I'm capable of saying that and being confident, but I have a tough time directing the conversation after I get past that hurdle. If she's not interested then it's easy to fuck off and it's easy to tell when she's bothered, annoyed, etc. I'm asking a lot, so don't feel obligated to respond but I'm very curious: Let's say she does show you a positive indication that she'll entertain a conversation -- what're the next words…

Yeah - if she said this, is there a way to save it or would you avoid this situation by not using this opener?

Totally. For me it just felt weird and like it didn't fit. Didn't dwell on it, talked about something else. Nobody cares.

I think that if you're too focused on the outcome here. I wouldn't approach this girl during sets but if you happen to run into her after a workout or at a group class I'd say go for it. Thinking it will be awkward if it doesn't go your way is just a mindset. If it doesn't go your way, keep going to the gym, don't pay her any attention and move on. It's only going to be awkward if you focus on it or do awkward things like keep approaching her. If it does, great.

Love success stories like this. Im 30, almost 31 and just started having a great life about a few months ago. What all went into you being able to transform your life like this?

I think you need exposure. I'm following this advice as well and yesterday when I struck up a conversation with a cashier I accidentally rhymed my response to one of his questions and it came off weird. 6 months ago I would have been depressed about it, now I talk to people every day and this still happens but it's way less and I don't even think about it.

But if you did invite her, how do you specify that BF isn’t invited? Say it were to happen, how do you respond to “can I bring my boyfriend?”

What resources / techniques did you use to sharpen your sense of humor?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
