The article is literally just a vanity project. She’s just talking about how deeply loved she was and how she walked away from it- even as she conducts a postmortem of her unsuccessful personal life she is showing a need to emphasize how she was so deeply loved and how she was in control of how it ended. This isn’t her giving advice. This is her begging for someone to hear that she could have had a family if she wanted one. What a shitty person. She deserves the life she has now

The whole franchise was based on a pussy pass. how? its a remake they made with four women. ok. in what way are we supposed to give it special treatment because its women? its a movie, if you want to watch it, watch it, if not, dont. thats literally how every movie works. Despite being a horrible movie everyone was supposed to watch it because there were 4 women acting in it. First of all, here is the Critical consensus on Rotten Tomatoes where it holds a "fresh" rating: "Ghostbusters does an im…

what does that have to do with women trying to assert their gender for special treatment? this post is literally just "hey look, something didnt work out for women." why is that something youre trying to celebrate?

shit like this is so fucking petty it makes me want to unsubscribe from this sub. the point of this sub is to share those moments where women look for special treatment for no other reason than they are women. lately this sub actively roots for women to fail. i like seeing equality in action, but im not a fucking misogynist. this "GOOD THESE BITCHES FAILED" mentality is so fucking toxic good riddance you creeps.

this really doesnt feel like a win because its not like she had her claim proven to be bullshit, just that she couldnt prove it.

i mean it would be one thing if she was like a like a transdolphinkin claiming discrimination in the workplace but if she was truly raped this verdict would be pretty horrifying. id like to point out that she lost because she couldnt prove her claim- not because her claim was disproven.

except we can prove shit. did you read the source on the initial post? we know how much police misconduct costs and the answer is a fuckload. furthermore, we can eliminate false and frivolous claims by people making shit up because there is an independent account of what happened. who do you think would look like the bad guy here where there is a woman sobbing with her head cracked open, if we didnt have a body cam showing that she was resisting arrest? nevermind the actual settlement costs, the…

No, not looking at the math reasonably is what is idiotic. This would diminish frivolous lawsuits, settlements, and had been proven to have a beneficial impact on communities by showing a drop in complaints and a drop in police violence. It's definitely an investment but it is one thy has shown have overwhelming positive effects both in intangible community benefits as well as literal dollars.

what about her conduct gives any indication that she would respect a female authority figure? this assertion just seems incredibly unfounded

you seriously think they wouldnt pitch a fit if it was a female officer? i dont think they are responding to gender. they are responding to authority.

people are short sighted. whenever you mention bodycams they get all hot and bothered and want to know whos paying for them. the answer is taxes, so they become irate at the idea that they will have an "extra" expense. meanwhile, the average settlement for police brutality is over $500K and there is a huge rising cost for misconduct. nobody ever factors in the money saved when they think about their expenses. fucking idiots. source: http://www.wsj.com/articles/cost-of-police-misconduct-cases-soa…

i honestly think there is a systemic problem in how women are taught to interact with authority. you dont see dudes squirm and kick and bargain nearly as much as girls. im not a sociologist or anthropologist, i have no theories on why people behave the way they do. i dont think it as an overstatement to say that something is wrong when you see women react to authority the way that they do.

i totally agree that they are unreliable BUT the whole point is that it stems from what they are measuring. if you genuinely believe that lie detectors work and are willing to submit to one, i think they actually work. that said if you know how unreliable they are, and you dont think it will work, when you get a question you are nervous about getting right, it will register that you are nervous and it wont work. so i agree, they shouldnt be considered reliable and people shouldnt have to be subj…

whats spooky about this is that the question initially seemed pretty innocuous then shit took a pretty dark turn pretty quickly

i usually cringe when i see men's rights shit because it usually quickly devolves into a lot of misogynistic shit but this actually does a pretty good job of highlighting what is wrong about the way we approach the topic of rape.

im glad she got caught but holy hell if youre arranging to have someone killed and the assassin makes you describe in detail what you want like 50 times you might be talking to a cop

ehhhhh so this was pretty cringey and she bombed hard and wasnt funny... but jesus christ im not about to root for the guy who had the response of shouting "shut up babe make me a sandwich" the second she criticizes him. everyone loses in this bit.

[serious] why do women always resist arrest? they always launch into the whole "no you cant do this" routine and then start wriggling and shit.

that makes sense. i think i came in too late and assumed the dude was misinterpreted bc of shitty phrasing and fixed that, i still kind of suspect thats what happened just because the video was so fucking horrible but, again, i missed the initial comment. prob should have sat this one out.

mehh i think i showed up too late to really have an opinion on this. i just like the idea of reddit being a place where people think "huh, that was a twatty post. maybe i should be less twatty and change it." like i get being annoyed if he is trying to avoid deserved scorn but i also think its kind of stupid to want people to stand by their shitty posts if they too think they are shitty.

shouldnt people reword their posts if they sound like a twat? dont we want fewer twatish posts?

i dont think the dude was really that bad. like that girl was terrible but he was just trying to prevent her from getting her teeth knocked in he wasnt trying to hurt anyone
