If I recall correctly, Mystery is from Toronto, so that could make the possibility of that girl's friend knowing him a little more likely since you're in Midwestern Canada. It's at least plausible.

Sometimes I just wish the glossary was on the sidebar like it is in r/AskSeddit because. There are a lot of links over there, though, so I understand why it's not. I usually just open r/AskSeddit in another tab if I need to refresh my memory on one of the terms.
