Walking downtown with a shotgun may not be the smartest idea but it is legal in Texas (as long as it's not a restricted area). Not sure I buy your opinion fully. 2	The 2A is my permit. I am just against concealed carry until the cost of obtaining the CHL is reduced especially for some low-income groups. While I don't even blink at paying $100+ for the state fee, fingerprint fee and course fee, some groups of people on tight budgets, e.g. some senior citizens living solely on social security, might find that difficult on their pocket books. That's why I am against CCL as it currently stands. For me gun ownership is a right just as is voting. Imagine if people had to cough up 100s of $$$ to take a class to be able to vote. 1	The 2A is my permit. To answer your question, the weapons have changed dramatically. But I think you brought up an excellent question. I really do. The only answer I can come up with is that those types of weapons require multiple people to deploy as their complexity, size and power to engage, destroy and defend is much greater than personal arms. I have problems with concealed carry (as a principle), and I am for open carry. I do agree that permits should be in place and that arms should be withheld from convicted felons (at least for a period) and juveniles (until age of adulthood). 1	If women have a constitutional right to abort then men have a constitutional right to absolve all responsibility I think we should care because regardless of whether they say it's not a "child" or not a "baby" because it isn't fully formed, it is a "human life form." And that's what I have a problem with...the murder of any "human life form." I do believe that killing can be moral in the case of a justified war but not murder. You can cya by referring to your syllabus if there are any sections on electronic devices and require a letter of accommodation from the office of disability services to use such devices.
