Great content. The question is about discipline: how do you build this, stone by stone? How do you catch yourself before or even during staring at yet another rectangle for yet another hour? How do you BEGIN being constructive rather than passive consumer? Tips, please, gentlemen.

Look, I don’t understand the rule. I’m not a n00b at this, so the faq is not going to help, though I appreciate the gesture. I will post in the other sub. But I have no idea what this sub is for, at this point, because I can’t even imagine a post I could put up that wouldn’t be taken down.

I don’t understand. I am asking about how to close a girl who’s in the middle of a work meeting at a café. It came up bc I had an experience today but I am clearly not asking how to get that particular girl. She’s gone. I’ll never see her again. I’m asking about future similar situations. So can you explain to me how this is against the rules? I’m a bit pissed because I knew this would happen— first time I’ve posted here, of course I was going to get taken down.

This is not a post about a specific person. This is not about oneitis. It’s about how to handle this kind of situation. I’d appreciate it if you would reinstate the post. It’s not a field report. It’s a question about outer game strategy.

What are you doing to implement? It takes time and patience — but also some action. Start small. Start simple. It will come! I have a lot of advice, but Models contains most of it. Also, you don’t need to hit bars to meet people. You can walk around Chinatown (or wherever downtown). You can go to a meetup. You can simply go out and read a book at a restaurant by yourself and be content with that. This, may I add, is pretty key and something that took me a long time to develop — being comfortable…

Yes. Read Models. This is the only advice you need. The rest is commentary.

This is hard to give advice on, because it's tough to know what's behind it. It sounds like the thought behind it is, "Why can they all be happy while I'm alone?" Not the greatest mindset to be in, which I think is what you're hinting at wanting to change. Go back to my original post and start with Models and work your way through the material. Happy to answer questions in DM. Oneitis is a blessing because it's a challenge that can really help you break through to becoming a better man all aro…

Sorry, to clarify: I meant CBT techniques that aren’t the triple-column method. I’m thinking primarily of biofeedback. Strongly recommend Feeling Good by Burns.

“Models” is an incredible reframing of rejection (among other gems.) If you haven’t read it, go to your local bookstore and buy a copy and do so immediately! I use both CBT and mindfulness and I think they’re complementary. CBT triple column can be remarkably effective when done correctly because it helps you recognize the logical errors in your toxic thoughts and allows you to start replacing them with rational alternative thoughts. Other non-triple column CBT techniques like biofeedback are al…

Read “Models” by mark manson. There’s a lot of cheap old e-versions online; splurge a few bucks and buy the book from a store. It could change your life. There’s a lot in there about authenticity, honesty, vulnerability, and directness. It’s quite practical. One key takeaway is making friends with rejection. If you’re honest and can handle rejection by reframing it as a good thing, you’re going to fare a lot better. This one thing has profoundly changed my relationships with women. “Game” is kin…

I’m going to give you the gift someone on Reddit once gave me: read “Models” by Mark Manson.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
