There are also surgical procedures that treat phimosis while leaving the foreskin intact. Please do your research before having amputation, which is what circumcision is. 2	Are circumcised fathers who have their sons circumcised just so their son will "look like" them pretty much doing it for selfish reasons? This will be tough to hear, but it’s almost guaranteed that you were unnecessarily circumcised. Most US doctors know nothing about the foreskin/intact penis. There are less invasive alternatives to the issues that US doctors use as an excuse to circumcise. If you have a boy, read about how to care for an intact penis and make sure nobody forcefully retracts his foreskin. 9	I have questions about circumcision Your wife’s family’s religious beliefs are their own beliefs. Your infant son does not have a religion, he can decide when he is older and educated on the matter if he wishes to be circumcised. Let me be clear: I resent my parents for having my genitals mutilated as a defenseless infant. Your job as a father is to protect your children. 3	Maybe this ridiculous rationale might help some people understand circumcision None of those reasons change the fact your son could have made his own choice when he turned 18 and weighed the pros and cons himself. 2	Vasectomy completed Even if both ends are cauterized, granulomas usually form from sperm seeping out. But leaving the ball end vas open allows the balls to relieve pressure. 5	Vasectomy completed If you're worried about back up of sperm causing pressure in your testicles, ask your urologist for an open ended vasectomy. This leaves the tubes on the ball side non-cauterized which lets the sperm swim and form a granuloma.
