His ex-fiancée is doing very well. She’s moved into a new place, where she has easy access to assistance should she need it. She’s also started university, to go into the biomedical science field. We sometimes talk, but not very often. She was grateful I told her the truth, obviously very hurt, but has since said she feels free again now. I got into a small amount of trouble for “letting my emotions get the better of me,” but overall HR and our owner had been wanting to get rid of him for some t…

A few years ago, I was dating a guy I’d met at work. He was great - took me out, spoiled me. His parents were lovely, his mum used to invite me out shopping with her at weekends, I was invited to family events. 6 months later, his Mum calls me in a panic at 3am, trying to get a hold of him. Turns out, his disabled fiancée is stuck in the bathroom at their apartment in the next city, and she needs help. This guy had been with this poor disabled woman for nearly 7 years. Their wedding was booked f…

I needed to see this today. As a 28 year old woman, with a younger sister and an older sister, who are both married, I was starting to feel a failure for not being “settled.” Next year I’m travelling abroad for the first time since 2005. I have a list of places I want to visit, and take my son to. Focus on that, and not getting married and defining myself by being “someone’s wife.”

As a 6ft 200lb woman - absolutely yes to this! I spent so much wasted time with an ex who never let me wear heels and always tried to make me diet (I already eat relatively healthy and exercise) it’s taken a lot of time for me to become comfortable in my own skin, and any man who doesn’t accept that is no good to me, or any other woman!

Community behaviour order. There’s a link for more info in the main post edit :)

In the UK, antisocial behaviour is a blanket phrase that covers all sorts from drunk and disorderly, anything that causes alarm/distress. They can be held as a charge, and can result in a community protection notice, or a criminal behaviour order, and you can be sent to prison for breaking the terms of your CPN/CBO.

I will always do my best to stand up and tell the truth! You have my word.

And these are the same girls who complain about creepy guys in clubs and kick off when someone accidentally brushes them as they walk past. Good on that guy! And your friend for dealing with it properly and not letting her being a girl sway him.

Yeah I don’t go out any more either. I’m more of a “night in with Netflix and wine” now.

Sorry, I’ve realised I’m hindsight I’ve not been overly clear here. The arrest was more for d&d and assault, the antisocial behaviour was also a factor in the decision the detain her and resulted in her receiving a 24 month CBO. I’m in England.

Honestly, it was mortifying to watch. The poor guy was just trying to be friendly. He took being turned down earlier really well, he was a good guy. She deserved what she got, and I’m not sorry to see the back of her, just like I wasn’t sorry giving a full statement to the police telling them what she did.

Haha! I’ll send her your way, my man.

I’m glad she’s out of my life now. I heard most recently her (now ex) threw her out after she hit him. Don’t need that kind of toxic waste in my life.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
