Let me check...hmm, nope, still looks like the only good restaurant guide only goes up to 3, and it's only total bullshit ones like Yelp that go up to 5

This is true in the USA as well. You can thank the feminist professor they consulted when writing the laws, Mary Koss

It's a different style of restaurant than McDonald's or Krispy Kreme (idk what Gloria Jean's is). McDonald's is cheap fast food, Krispy Kreme is donuts, Applebees is "fast casual". The main criticism of them is that unlike some other things in that category, there's very little effort put into the food. Chili's and Red Robin come to mind as similar restaurant chains that are better. Applebee's uses a lot of microwaved, pre-prepared food, which is pretty awful in general. Another, similar restaur…

Having looked at the pdf, it doesn't actually seem to support this point? The quote Snopes pulls, "civilians, particularly women and children, account for the vast majority of those adversely affected by armed conflict", does not appear anywhere in the document, and the citation link Snopes provides leads to a 404. The document does talk about the ways in which women are adversely affected by war, but doesn't seem to investigate the ways men are affected. This seems like it's looking at what hap…

Civilians, particularly women and children, account for the vast majority of those adversely affected by armed conflict. I mean, I'm pretty sure this is wrong too. I would be very surprised to see actual evidence that women and children civilians are more affected by war than male civilians, and especially not male civilians + male soldiers

Have any men done similar in New York State since then? If not, the comparison isn't exactly apples to apples

Well that's good! I hadn't bothered and had started looking elsewhere on account of the whole "explicitly saying I'm not welcome" thing

How would you feel if you found out the women you were talking to had a similar 'strategy?' Do you think 'I'd never fall for that?' I would think "that's interesting and clever, I'm really curious to see what she's doing and how she came to the conclusions that these techniques work; I'm also really curious to see if they work on me." I would be flattered and intrigued.

If that were true, you wouldn't need a 'strategy,' you would simply treat women the way you would wish to be treated. Walk up to them and say "hey wanna bone?" Because speaking as a bisexual man, this works almost 100% of the time on men and almost 0% of the time on women, and studies back me up on this, which I can totally find and cite for you if you want

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
