If you can separate yourself from it and are decently attractive, it can be a good supplement if your on a time constraint, but for most people it's not healthy.

Yea man, it's kind of bad either way. I never got a ton of matches, and I used to swipe on EVERYONE. And then those ones you do match with, you spend time trying to get validated from. So it not only fucks up your self esteem, but then distracts you from the game you should really be playing. That being said, if your above average looks and can see through the bullshit to not take it seriously, it's a good way to supplement your real game. But most people can't do that (including me even haha) s…

Honestly I prefer just axing it entirely. Nothing you can do to interject is going to come off as you not trying to figure out a way to do something you anticipate might be accepted poorly. So instead I just prefer going "Your cute and I decided to introduce myself". This gives a clear understanding that I have interest and am making a conscious decision to act on it, and there are playful ways you can calibrate it based on the situation.

I agree it's not always bad game, but saying something like "this is unorthodox" , or "I just had to come say hi" preserves the game. It really depends on the situation and the rest of your opener though.

Instead of "this is weird", I sometimes use "this is a bit unorthodox". Makes you seem more secure in your actions and doesn't frame it as " weird" while conveying the same meaning.

But why do you need an excuse? If you need an excuse, your frame is wrong.

For some reason I don't see people doing the same thing during night game as much. Probably has to do with being in a setting that is viewed more socially so they see it as more acceptable.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
