Fully agree. That is why in my post I wrote "TRP Principles (as they are commonly understood here"). I know TRP isn't purely a sexual strategy because I read up on a lot of the good literature behind it. Its quite a holistic way of looking at things if you read the TRP reading list of books. But for many it started out as a sexual strategy and is basically their bible for being the hardcore alpha fucker they always wished they good be, screw society and anyone else besides themselves (basically …

You have your head on right. It is basic human decency to protect the weak, within reason, regardless of gender. A lot of TRP guys are still in the hateful phase. Hateful towards society, and towards women in particular. Many never pass this phase, which is truly a pity. Not every kind act towards a woman is a beta white knight move FFS. It comes down to WHY you are doing such things. If done for the sake of virtue signaling and hoping she's gonna jump into bed with you, yes that is pathetic. If…

Thank god there are still people like you in TRP community with some proper balanced perspective. There is a difference between being a useless white knight, and just being a freaking proper good person who stands up for the right things. TRP principles (at least as they seem to be understood by most here) do not apply in every single circumstance. It is concerning when people conflate "being alpha" with "being a self-serving sociopath".

Served in my nations conscript army myself. Guard duty during my basic training in exactly the same pattern as you. Overall - if you have a phone, the world is your oyster and you can truly maximize the time. Aside from intellectual stimulation (use tubemate app to download YouTube book summaries and intellectual talks for finance, jordan Peterson, investing, and any other skills you like), you can work on bodyweight calisthenics routines like pushups, sit-ups, pull ups. I remember packing my wa…

Youre only looking at it from a gene perspective. Why would LBJ require more athleticism? He just wants a caring spouse and mother to his children. She should be fit enough so he knows she won't die easily but she does not need to be a 8% bf Olympic champion. Not to mention, SW is a great athlete and in order to do that she has to spend just as much time as LBJ training - 18 hrs a day possibly. Who takes care and gives love to the his kids? LBJ, with his "father" lenses, wants a caregiver who wi…

Not the guy posted before but his argument makes more sense. The woman wasn't meant to be the source of survival. The male was meant to be the bastion. Hence the "old fashioned" trope of the man needing to protect the women (physically). Basically I understand you're trying to figure out why women didnt get picked based on their strength and hardiness. But you're making the big assumption that in a pairing of a mate both would have similar roles. This way of thinking is evolutionarily incorrect …

Exactly why I said "due to to personality" as opposed to due to circumstances. If he's developed a certain character in his late 20s, highly unlikely to majorly change into adulthood. If he's done all that due to career focus etc, then it's a different story.

Always find this type of discussion interesting as someone from Asia. I see people here saying stuff like 20+ being quite normal... From asia, even assuming you're 25, having a double digit n count is really high and not so desirable for most girls I've talked with. As you can imagine, one night stands are mostly a no no. For guys, I think the leeway is a bit more, but also not past double digit (at 25) otherwise you're seen as a player and incapable of being a LTR partner. Basically most people…

To add on to the phrase "old habits die hard", it's been found that people won't change as they get older, especially in the mid 20s onwards. Basically if a person (guy or girl) has been unable to commit due to personality reasons, there's low chances he will suddenly flip from partyboy at 28 to Mr commitments at 30.

On the contrary, I would say the sidebar of TRP does a decent job of explaining the matter and I think many of their community leaders do frequent enough posts on what being alpha is. And it's mostly consistent and even as a moderate occasional lurker on TRP, I've never seen huge deviance on what alphas are. It's true trp individuals will adapt and vary the concept into their own terms but I've never seen too much deviation from the core concept defined in sidebar and by their leaders like Rollo…

Completely agree. I am more than open to seeing a proper debate against the alpha concept, because I do think TRP stretches it and uses it as a catch-all phrase for saying "I'm better than you". But the video was bollocks. Adam defines alpha narrowly as "macho jock", thinks that they are looking for long-term relationships, and that they are dominant in all situations/contexts. These are all complete shallow if not completely upside down interpretations of what an alpha is. If he actually made s…

I'm gonna give you two approaches with key example men you can follow. Lean in and enjoy your voice being unassertive. Overcome this by making your enthusiasm and attitude shine through. A very good example is Alpha M from YouTube. He is a short guy and speaks with a bit of a squeaky voice but he is so confident and well spoken it easily overcomes it and I'm sure ladies find it charming. Example and on-point video: https://youtu.be/As8Gq9Tm3NI Try your best to macho-ize your voice. Example is A…

Correct. I think that in general, given that the vast majority of men don't even dare to look at a weight, it only takes 1 year of semi dedicated lifting /eating to be in that top 10% of attractiveness. With odds that good, why guys would pretend it's some impossible task is beyond me. Nobody expect men to look like Chris Hemsworth, but if your posture is awful, your can't see your toes, and you are out of breath after 2 flights of stairs, don't expect too much female attention your way.

TBH OP I think it would be better if you actually summarized the argument you are making, and then we can address it and have some good discussion. The video is 11 minutes long, most of it cringey TBH (I did watch it by FF'ed to the last parts). I mean, it's buzzfeed. Anyway my 3 main thoughts: I do believe body positivity IS important. There is nothing good about being miserable because you are short/flabby/not X-colored skin or race. On the other hand, their complacency is quite a turn off and…

I would say not just your master but in most cases you actually don't want to (obviously) outshine your peers as well. You don't want them to feel threatened. The only group I feel comfortable being somewhat masculine/'alpha' almost all the time are with senior managers who are neither my boss nor would be threatened by my success. They also are often looking for a young one to mentor and sponsor - that's a win win because they bring you up along with them and your successes make them look even …

Actually I would even say, as a man who does more masculine behavior in social situations, that feminine behavior in mundane work situations works out well for me. When I need to put my foot down then I "alpha up" and become tough. I think a lot of men think being RP means being macho 100% of the time like how they imagine the stereotypical investment banker acts (wolf of wall Street type behavior). In reality overdoing the masculine behavior can get you a bad rep. Trying to out alpha your boss,…

Although I tend to agree that's what 3rd wave has done, I cannot apply it to my example for a few reasons. I live in Singapore, which is in SE Asia. It's still culturally rather Asian and patriarchial, but has modernized a lot in the past 15+ years and is more in the mid-end of 2nd wave feminism which I actually mostly agree with, as opposed to SJW 3rd wave bullshit. We see some wannabe feminist organizations sprouting up with 3rd wave bullshit in the past 3-5 years, but most major feminist move…

Eh, from most Red Pill threads I've read that AWALT refers to hypergamy, women being solipsistic, narcisstic, shallow, selfish etc. Example from The Rational Male For the past 20 years after my dad became aimless, my mother has 100% focused on bringing the family up and putting us through school. Just as an FYI my parents are legally married still, and she never filed for divorce or saw other men because she put our family first. My dad went off to live with his parents, and currently works in a…

If the West wants to survive as a culture, we need to start making babies again. Otherwise, we will likely be slowly overtaken by a more religious demographic, such as the Muslims or the Mormons. Agree with cultural replacement, but I think in terms of pure numbers, China/India genetics will be the DNA of the future. Religion has some part but overtaken is a bit of a overstatement.

My dad was absent from my life after the age of 10. He was a good dad till then, but after a while he simply gave up. His father owned a successful chain of photo studios that he could've probably turned around and sold (they were eventually wiped out by the upcoming Digital Camera adoption trend), but he was content with just being a lazy storeowner that tended to the occasional customer and spend the afternoons watching TV and sleeping. We are friendly terms, but he's like that lazy bum roomma…

I would say you are correct with emphasis on "on average", and assuming western world which you imply. I have a strong preference for East Asian beauty myself anyday, but even then I will have to say the world at large prefers Caucasian leading men and women because mass media is western. That said, if you go to countries with strong media presence (e.g. South Korea), you will find the standard of beauty and preference for both men are women are are probably very Korean/Asian and not the Caucasi…

/did you know if we change the conditions of the study after it's finished and remove any data points that don't back our preconceived conclusion we can prove 4/5 college women are raped? I recall reading that 4/5 disproving post somewhere but can't find it. Could you provide a link please?

If you want to be traditional fine, if you want to be strong and independent, be strong and independent. Asking for both is just hypocritical and breeds resentment. If they were at least consistent, it would be less of an issue. I live in Singapore, which is a contradictory place. It's in SE Asia (where it's supposedly the more conservative "patriarchial" culture),but we've rapidly developed since the 1990s and adopted many western cultures and values especially in the younger generation. I see …

Regarding reproach: It's 50/50 now, better than before. I've been lurking on TRP since last year, and I'll say THANKFULLY, post Elliot Rodgers, Reddit RPers have been putting down guys who're a bit more extreme. Before, I saw plenty of asktrp type posts where they'll ask a similar question. All the answers were like basically "nah, maintain frame" "Just make a joke of it and she'll forget about you needing to say sorry". I'll admit these were just random postings here and there, so I won't insis…

RE Men above reproach: http://heartiste.wordpress.com/2014/08/29/what-to-do-when-a-girl-scolds-you/ RE Racism He won't ever outright say it, so you gotta read between his lines. Example articles about: how valuable the white male is in other markets, how the white majority is declining, how diversity is bad. Examples: Diversity Eugenics White decline Some less serious, whitey mighty type post. He's very good at using complex language to hide what he's really saying. There are a couple more aggre…

Like you I believe in the core tenets of it - being a better version of yourself, taking charge of your relationships and life, maintaining frame etc. And yes, in modernized societies, there's a bit too much of a hookup culture and narcissism especially in younger girls. (I do think TRP hypes that up by focusing their criticism on shallow instagram addicted girls too much, though. Biased sampling at its worst.) There are 3 aspects of the RP community that I detest, though. The surrounding hatred…

Very well said. One of the things that I really can't agree with on RP blogs is when they proudly talk about how they move to Japan, get a woman to fall for them, and then leave. (I see this a lot of bragging on this on that Hartiste guy's blog). They think somehow it's okay because (according to them) they're mistreated by American/western women and therefore can employ RP strategy on Asian women (and I assume Eastern Euro women). Then they brag about how they've had girls attempt suicide after…

I am dating attractive women every few weeks, but they become really flaky after the first date. In 90% of the cases there isn't a second date, the rest is done after the 2nd date or they're putting me in the friendszone. This means your outer game, despite your hangups about weight, is good. I see this as a job hunt. You're getting interviews but not getting the job. This means you're (on first impression at least) smart and capable enough, but your interviews suck. What's your typical date lik…

Just a minor point: Google says 172 cm = 5.64 Feet, not 5' 64''. For that 0.64, multiply by a foot (12 inches) to get 7.6 inches. Just clearing that up.
