Thanks man. I had a small glimpse of hope, maybe with time she’d open back up to me and start a line of communication, but after seeing she crawled back to the guy from college, flew across the world to see him, I’m done. Your advice is spot on, I’m going to give myself another month of healing so I can speak to a lawyer with a clear head. I have her blocked and have no intention to speak to her again.

Im going to. Woke up to a text from an old homie who didn’t know we split up letting me know she was posting stories with him at a bar in Spain last night. Dude was being a good friend, but what a terrible feeling to have right now.

Thats the truest part of this all; hardest and best lesson I ever learned. Lost my wife due to some terrible decisions. I’m giving it until next month I’ve decided. If she doesn’t say a single word to me by the 6 month point, I’m withdrawing my sponsorship for her citizenship (so Im not financially responsible for her for 10 years) and filing divorce.

I agree man. I really wanted to make this work but it takes two to tango and her silence speaks for itself. I don’t feel like I owe her citizenship either at this point and staying in the marriage will allow her to gain it at my cost

Youre not wrong at all, but don’t you think going on 6 months of silence from her is my answer that the marriage is done?

I want to rebuild with my wife, but going on 6 months of silence from her I am pretty sure that is not an option anymore

It is horrible, especially at first. You will one day find peace, try not to dwell in it even though it will feel impossible at times. Lean on friends and family as well, a good support system is so important.

Hey man, first off, its gut wrenching and the pain feels suffocating. My wife left with our dog May 16th and I have not heard a single word from her since, she moved to a different state, has been traveling the world & I guess recently posted a guy in her IG. All of that said, my best advice is to mourn it. Its okay to hurt, because it will hurt. Do not contact her at all. It will be extremely hard, but contacting her will make you look weak in her eyes and validate her decision to leave. As har…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
