As a male artist: I think the whole "unrealistic gender image" is completely ridiculous, for men and women. I really dislike all the complaining about photoshop as well. For HUNDREDS of years artists have been idealizing the human form. So what? Do all images have to be of realistic average humans? How boring would that be. There has been a growing movement to diminish beauty, and I think it's mostly from bitterness.

When the Ray Rice thing was going on, a reporter from ESPNW come on NPR, and was saying that people should stop talking about Hope Solo because it as distracting from the real issue. (that was the first time I heard about it) The real issue being violence in the NFL. I am completely serious. Not sure why you think there is a difference if the baby is planned or not. To me the focus of the article was women having babies who didn't like being a mother, but did it because society expected them to. I can see this as leading to resentment against the child, which is a no win situation. So if women are getting custody because society tells them they need to raise the child, but it isn't in anyone's best interest, more fathers gaining custody would help everyone.

It's simple. If a student is cheating on a test, let the school take care of it. If a student is suspected of rape, stealing a car or murder, let the police take care of it. Agree 100%. It has gone from don't blame actual victims, to saying that safety training is blaming the victim. "don't teach me not to be raped, teach boys not to rape" doesn't make any real world sense. Criminals don't follow the rules. Cause, um, they are criminals. Not suspicious. I guess I misunderstood what kind of club OP was going for. Support groups like AA (and plenty of women specific groups) are only open to the people with the issues, except under certain circumstances. I would bet there are about a million or so women's only support groups. No one bats an eye at that. But try to get a men's only support group, and I am "suspicious of an entire gender" right?
