Yeah I know, my point is that judging people's physical attractiveness on who they pull or commit to is a faulty premise. Attraction is way more nuanced than that. With the "you are what you can get" logic, the ugly guy in that example wouldn't be overrating his own attractiveness if he claimed he is hot, since he pulls beautiful women. Others would think he's overrating himself regardless. There could be countless reasons why some conventionally attractive person isn't dating their "equal" or w…

You would also be arbitrarily hotter if you were a gay man. If you could get into a machine and turn gay, you'd go from a "below average" guy who can't attract women, to a hot guy that a bunch of gay men want to fuck. It seems kind of pointless to compare attractiveness between genders when one gender is clearly way more horny than the other. Even a hot dude could have sex with a girl he considers a 5/10 in his head, he may even commit to her for other factors. It wouldn't necessarily make that …

Someone having a girlfriend or a wife doesn't really tell you if they struggled to date or not. If most men were honest, they'd probably tell you that they struggled with dating to some degree. A Dark Souls game doesn't become retroactively easy just because you beat it. You still died 100 times. Unless you're defining struggle as "permanent virgin," then yeah, most men don't struggle I guess lol.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but women are more likely to seek therapy and be on anti depressants. Men just kinda wallow in their misery. I know the anti depressants would imply that they aren't happy, but someone who was sad/lonely is going to feel happier on meds + going to therapy (usually). Just one aspect of it I think.

I'm sure it has to do with social ineptitude sometimes. But I'm pretty socially inept and do fine for the most part. I think it's okay to admit that some of these short/ugly dudes are playing on super hard mode. I'd get zero action if I was a short indian guy living in America, as would most of the people posting here lol.

Half the time when something is removed for "incel content" on that sub, it's just a comment being realistic about attractive vs ugly people. The red pillers typically say way, way more sexist shit. It's weird that they think people posting "if you're ugly, it's over" will get their sub banned from reddit when there is a "women are gold digging whores" thread almost every day.
/r/AllPillDebate02/07/23 09:14 AM

Yeah basically. One girl I was dating wanted to know how many matches I got on tinder. I told her I got about 2 matches a day and she was shocked, she thought that was incredibly low for a tall blonde guy. I said "2 matches a day is actually pretty good for a straight man, a lot of men get 2 matches a week." She didn't believe me until I showed her my phone. I don't know, it's hard to convince someone with a completely different perception of dating what it's like for the other side.

I think in general men lower their physical standards on dating apps by a bit. I'm probably a 5-6 in the face but will shoot out of my league irl all the time because of my height and body. It also takes a bit more effort to approach irl. On dating apps I tend to not care too much. But I've been told by men on this sub that I have no self respect for dating big girls, so maybe I just have "lower standards" in general lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/23 07:24 PM

One of my female friends is painfully average and she was hooking up with hot men on tinder. I think the idea is if you're a "chad" then average girls are a very easy lay. They just send out sexual pickup lines and see who's receptive. It's how the tinder subreddit gets half its content. Although I wouldn't really know how to rate these guys in an objective way. One of them was at least an 8, but idk. People's rating systems are so fucked. There's a thread on that QVVEstudios subreddit where mos…

Yeah, sadly I just don't really meet women like you. I'm more on the sensitive side and a bit neurotic (makes me kinda anxious/shy). I guess because I'm a giant with muscles it's just expected of me to act stoic all the time. I definitely had to learn to act super confident and carry myself in a certain way, it can be exhausting. With that said, for my first and only LTR I was able to be more vulnerable. It just didn't work out for other reasons.

It feels very important, at least to me. I'm 6'5 and fairly built, beard, big jaw, basically I present very masculine. I've dated a range from alt women who go to art school to conservative women. I learned early on that they all lost interest if I didn't keep the "stoic masculine" persona turned on at all times, especially the first couple months of dating. When I was younger, I wouldn't have even labeled these things as inherently "non-masculine". I thought it was just being a normal human. Bu…

I've honestly never matched with a woman over 3 years older than me on Tinder. It does feel more likely to get the interest of someone 7 years younger than older. 2-3 years younger is the most likely in my experience.

It's just dumb in general to go off BMI in these discussions about attraction. Like yeah, most "obese" people (according to BMI) will look fat, but "overweight" could mean anything. It's incredibly easy for a man over 6ft+ to be 5-10 pounds overweight with a healthy body fat percentage. Women pack fat into their boobs, hips, and ass. It doesn't matter if BMI says she's "overweight" when most of the male population is lusting after her.

A lot of it is location too. If you're an average guy with really good pictures, you may do okay in New York City. If you live in some random suburb in Arizona? You might as well not bother unless you're conventionally attractive or shredded. The gender ratios are way too fucked.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/23 01:44 AM

Yeah some people can have a visible 6 pack at like 15-17% body fat due to freak genetics. I need to be like 12% body fat or dehydrated to have visible abs. It's not really worth maintaining as a natty. But I know exactly what you mean by the last thing you said. I've had to explain to a lot of women who wanted to get into lifting that you can't "accidentally" get bulky/buff. A lot of those jacked women you see on TikTok are on anavar, or they've been bulking/cutting for 5+ years.

Just modern feminism? Women are not afraid to show that they're horny sexual brings. Making childless relationships more acceptable (this is based). I'm not really sure I can accurately attribute these aspects to 2nd or 3rd wave feminism tbh.

Yeah I'm not sure, I've heard of it. But no older women have ever really shown interest in me, hookup or date. Oldest was maybe 5 years older than me. Typically the women who just want to hookup with me on Tinder are younger too, like 20-24. I think there is a minority of women going after younger men for sex, but I'd imagine most women prefer hooking up with men around their age or older. They might be socially conditioned to view having sex with younger men as creepy, even if you're talking ab…

You're mostly just losing water weight from the lack of carbs. It can help with managing appetite since carbs tend to make you feel hungry faster, but it's a really hard diet to maintain. I personally need a certain amount of carbs when I cut, or I can't do my lifting routine. No energy.

It's interesting because I'm also told I look about 5-6 years younger clean shaven, yet most women I date (20-35) prefer the full beard. They want me to look older/more "mature". I have a pretty pronounced jawline, so it's not like I'm hiding a receding chin or something. A full, thick beard is quite powerful in dating tbh.

Yeah you have to have pretty low test to lose libido or muscles. Most men go from 600 to maybe 450 when they get older, it's not a huge difference or anything. Even if it is really low, you can just go on TRT and get that youthful feeling back.

I can kinda confirm this. I'm a left leaning man who feels like he has to be a stoic masculine statue for the first 6 months of dating. It's fucking exhausting. Can I just send you some neurotic texts about how much I hate my job without you getting the ick?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/23 06:08 AM

I meant "introvert" as in really shy, like people who avoid most social situations or are afraid to speak up when they are in those situations. People who are really shy tend to have lower self-esteem. If we're talking about people who prefer to stay home during the weekends or if someone is just a more introspective person, then yeah, confidence isn't really related there.

I think she's talking about traditional gender roles for men while dating: guy paying for the dates, wine and dine, supports her, the effort/romance flows mostly one way. She's implying that conservative men are more likely to give women the princess treatment while liberal men want to go 50/50.

I think people who have been attractive their whole lives tend to be extroverted regardless of gender. In my experience, when an attractive person is an introvert or really shy, they had a glow up after high-school. They haven't built up that confidence yet.

Not to say there isn't predatory age gap relationships, but it does feel like how "creepy" it is to people inrl depends on how attractive/young looking the older person is.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/23 09:02 PM

I think there are a lot of older women who are genuinely concerned when an 18 year old is dating a 35+ year old. Most likely due to past experiences. There are also a lot of younger women who find it creepy when a much older man hits on them. There may be some jealous older women complaining about a 30 year old dating a 24 year old, but I find that to be more of a chronically online thing, specifically from reddit.

I was trying to find a video of his abs because it's typically a dead giveaway. But he's a professional bodybuilder who's currently in the off-season (so he's bulky). When he's cut, it's a bit more obvious that he's on gear. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT818GDtp/ The veins in his arms and boulder shoulders give it away. He's still a genetic freak though with those legs/calves.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/23 03:01 AM

I looked at his other videos and he's most likely on gear. Probably a high amount of testosterone and some anabolics.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/23 02:05 AM

There's also a pretty big problem with young men abusing SARMs and gear because they want to have the muscular look as soon as possible. We have no idea how this PED abuse is going to affect these teenagers long-term, especially since a lot of them are still going through puberty.

I think this depends on the age ranges you're talking about. It's very awkward to date as an 18 year old man for a example, since you can't go lower, but most women your age are going for men 2-3 years older. At 23+ is probably the sweet spot. On average, it does get harder for men to date after 30 simply because the dating pool gets smaller. At least in terms of raw numbers or hookups. You could make the argument that dating is easier at 30 for men if you're just looking for a stable LTR, since…

Yean it's somewhere around 7:3 or 8:2, I think. About 20-30% matches are also bots or advertisements. If you're a normal guy, I wouldn't really bother unless you have immaculate pictures. I can make do with 1 or 2 matches a day, but any less than that feels pointless because of the response rate. I think dating apps are fine if you just use them as a supplement and don't attach your self-esteem to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/23 09:51 PM

If you buy "premium" on Tinder, you'll be shown first to people, which is huge because women don't swipe a lot. I tried it for a month out of curiosity and went from 2 matches a day to like 5-6. I'm not sure how much it helps someone who is only getting 1 match a month, though.

Men are more blunt/mean to fat women online than vice versa. Men are also more likely to state their preferences in the most deranged way possible. So men are more vocally superficial than women in regards to weight, sure, but not necessarily for dating or relationships. For every guy online who shits on a fat girl and calls them unattractive, there's a fit gym bro with a 6 pack who would be ecstatic to date them. Women do find their fat/chubby boyfriend attractive, but this is typically after t…

No, the right to body autonomy (in that context) only applies to the person carrying the fetus. I do think men should be able to "financially abort" if they made it clear they do not want a baby before pregnancy, though.

Western men are more "exotic" in Asian and South American countries than they are in Western countries (obviously). It's not purely about money. You don't really need to move to the Philippines in an attempt to find a wife. You can just go on vacation to any Asian or South American country and be 10x more popular on Tinder. It's the same when "exotic" men are visiting America, they're getting no strings attached casual sex because they're different/unique (I hear southeast Asian men are an excep…

No, you date someone under 25 and just dice roll who the manipulator will be (most likely the person who doesn't text back quickly). Whoever hits 25 first then has to dump the other since they reached enlightenment. Their brain is at its biggest, so now it's time to go find someone who reads books and drinks fine wine. Sorry I don't make the rules.

That's more of a common fear for men. My biggest fear would be getting drugged and having my kidneys taken or being stabbed to death by a hookup. I could probably list hundreds of fears that are much worse than being humiliated or rejected, but the latter is just more likely to happen.

Chicken, protein shakes, yogurt, peanut butter is specifically good for bulking if you have a problem overeating. 230g of protein when you're cutting is the hardest part, you're mostly eating chicken breasts every day. But with bulking, you're trying to build muscle mass, which is typically capped at .5-1 pounds a week if you're not on gear. You'll also build up some fat while doing this. So if you keep bulking, you'll eventually become obese, which is why people will then cut. Bulk = build musc…

I got rejected for having an android phone instead of an iPhone once. Another time because I was a libra. Apparently libras are too worried about their career. Not sure if those are the kind of examples you wanted, but I just thought they were funny.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/23 08:43 PM

When I bulk I eat about 3200-3500 calories for .5 or 1 pound a week. I try to average 200-230g of protein a day, the rest carbs. When I cut I eat about 1800-2200 calories depending how aggressive I'm being with fat burning, same amount of protein, about 220g. When I bulk I can basically eat anything, cutting is mostly chicken breasts. The less processed sugars the better, but I dont always eat clean. The first year of weightlifting is mostly trying to figure out what works for you.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/23 08:24 PM

So my chest and back looked decent after my first year with noobie gains. Arms took about 2.5 years to look filled out, so about 3 bulks. My 5'7 friend in comparison looked big after the first year. A lot of it depends on your foundation + how young you are too. Some tall guys can look massive in the first year because of high natural test or they played a sport. Just make sure your diet is dialed in. It's really easy for tall guys to waste their time training.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/23 07:40 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/23 08:23 AM

I don't get it, why would those things only help with women over 30? I'd argue that looking as hot as possible would benefit the most to the 20-29 crowd. I do self-improvement to attract women, yes. It just doesn't do much for my overall mental health personally. I find the maintenance aspect of it to be very tedious. Although I'm addicted to weightlifting so I genuinely enjoy it.

It's not just women's lived experiences being rejected by young, bitter men. A lot of the varying "lived experiences" from this sub are people from completely different environments and age ranges. I think a good chunk of this sub is gen x, for example. Both men and women are going to have different experiences in that context. They dated before social media and dating apps. Yeah, I think people really underestimate what positive attention does for someone when they are going through puberty/childhood. It builds up your self-esteem and confidence. Of course if you get a lot of positive attention, you'll get a lot of negative attention too. That instance was actually much worse, if you're talking about Aaron Taylor Johnson. His wife probably met/groomed him before he was 18. /r/PurplePillDebate04/06/23 12:51 AM

Eh sort of. If you're a super social fat guy, you can charm a woman in your social circle, or maybe you're somehow the "hottest guy at work". But when it comes to things like cold approaches or dating apps, yeah, life begins at muscles + lowish body fat. Women will be more forgiving to your social awkwardness due to the halo effect.
